World's Greatest Mysteries Crop Circles: Celestial Signs Or Human Hoaxes?
AIRED:
Controversy. Conspiracy. Confusion. History is fraught with events -- from local to global -- that have never been satisfactorily explained. What caused the dinosaurs to perish? How were the Egyptian Pyramids built? What happened to the great Inca civilization? Was John Wilkes Booth part of a large, sinister plot? Was George Armstrong Custer sacrificed to save the Grant Administration? Is there anything happening in Roswell, New Mexico, that should be shared with American citizens? Who shot John F. Kennedy? These and dozens of other international mysteries are investigated, explored, unraveled and reported. Crop Circles: Celestial Signs Or Human Hoaxes? Crop circles--designs formed in fields of agricultural crops like wheat, barley, and corn--have been reported around the globe for more than a century. These designs have appeared usually in complete darkness and often almost instantaneously. Some crop circles are clearly hoaxes. Others, though, are inexplicable, leavings no evidence of human activity in the immediate vicinity. This television program examines those crops circles that cannot be attributed to men. It addresses questions like, --Why do the crops sometimes undergo changes at the cellular level? It looks at the strange lights that have been reported over the fields where crop circles are found. It also explores whether crop circles are the product of new military technology. Or whether they are messages from an intelligent force, perhaps an alien civilization?moreless
