In the third episode of the series, "The Monitor" was kind of boring and not really funny. So far this show is not really funny. I think that this is an okay show, but it needs to work on the comedy. I really didn't laugh when I watched this episode. The wirters could have written a better episode. And what annoys me is that the episodes just sort of end and it is kind of like "is it over?". It doesn't give a conclusion to each episode, which is kind of wierd. But it leaves you kind of hanging. Okay episode 6/10.
After the Writer's Strike pretty much crippled Hollywood this television season is basically version 2.0 of the 2007-2008. Worst Week has managed to separate itself from the few new shows this season and is clearly the best new comedy on television.
That bold statement aside, this was not my favorite episode of the series. The prop humor all seemed very forced, when it was original and funny in the first two installments. None of the characters were as humorous as they were in the pilot or its followup episode either.
My main gripe with this half hour was the blatant ripoff of a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode. Everybody knows the episode where Will takes the kid to see Dougie at the mall, and ends up getting in a fight with him. They weren't even trying to be original here.
