  • The first episode of a new breed in professional wrestling!

Wrestling Society X is no WWE or TNA, but it's something special. It's definately not your average wrestling show. There's some good things about that, and then there's some bad things.

The music performances are exceptional. The channel broadcasting is MTV, so I guess it had to do with music in some way. However, if they took away from the music, and had a few more wrestling matches, they might bring together a better show.

Jack Evans def. Matt Sydal w/ Lizzy Valentine - Definately some shades of a Ring of Honor match, here. Featured plenty of nice, wrestling action. Jack Evans won with a top-rope 630 Splash. Lizzy checked on Sydal, after the match, but also seemed interested in Evans. Obviously, a feud between the two is in the future.

WSX Rumble - The two winners of the match were Vampiro and 6-Pac. It was a decent match, featuring a few of my favorite indy wrestlers (Justin Credible, Puma). Vampiro and 6-Pac will meet on February 6, 2007 to fight for the WSX Heavyweight Championship.

I prefer this show much more than ECW on Sci Fi, so I'll probably be watching this until they stop airing new episodes.

Overall, a decent wrestling industry that has potential, but I don't see it going anywhere unless it moves to an hour, at the least.moreless
  • interesting

This debut episode was interesting to say the least. I really do not know how to describe it, but this show is like something you have never seen before. It is really really really fast paced, which at sometimes makes it wierd. Like in the Jack evens vs Matt sydal match one of thier first spots was a plancha, and then they got back up and started fighting, which is logicial in the wrestling world. Besides that it was definately a "athletic" match. I enjoyed it alot i guess, i didnt hate it and i didnt love it. I really do not know how to formulate a opinion on this show just yet. A lot of people will compare this to backyard. I wouldnt go that far as you can tell these people are professionals that do some insane stunts, they dont do totally dumb things and have no talent once so ever. I guess i will just have to wait to see how other episodes of this show go before i can get a full opinion on it, but for a pilot this wasnt bad.

PS i hate the ring announcermoreless
