After making such a big deal out of the annual draft with a three hour RAW spectacular we have seen the changing of brands mean absolutely nothing. Every single show has featured wrestlers not from that program competing on it and tonight's ECW was no exception. You have to wonder why the higher-ups even continue on with the brand extension in the first place.

ECW on Scifi is usually a refreshing change of pace as it is almost like an indy show as you see wrestlers without common WWE builds competing, and more emphasis on actual matches. This week's broadcast digressed back to typical WWE fashion as we witnessed a hackneyed opening promo from Mark Henry.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Evan Bourne should have been a showstealer, but instead it was disappointing abashment of what wrestling should be. A generic WWE squash in Mike Knox vs. Shannon Moore did very little to excite the North Carolina crowd. The main event was decent, but WWE needs to stop cajoling in viewers with promises of wrestlers from other shows and start developing talent on the ECW brand. Jeff Hardy's slopiness and The Miz' utter lack of psychology really led to some awkward moments. If you watch ECW for comedic value than Mike Adamle is the announcer for you. Bizarre comments plague his repetoire and the audience finds itself laughing every time the man speaks. I think my favorite line of the night from him was when he made a comment about Shannon Moore being the small dog in the fight with Mike Knox, and then when Moore landed some offense Adamle proceeded to shout, "Bow wow wow!"moreless
