  • This show was great. I'm excited for Test's ECW debut. Some pretty good matches.

Let me start with the RVW & Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton & Edge match. It would be a good match to watch on Monday Night RAW. However, it was weird to watch 3 of 4 wrestlers in the main event be WWE wrestlers. It had some great talent in it though and is a good example of WWE main-events. If this were a match in the WWE I'd rate it a 10 out of 10. On ECW I rate it 8 out of 10. Next I have to talk about Sabu vs. Tony Mamaluke. Boring match. Obviously Sabu should be the winner with a wrestler like Mamaluke. Tony Mamaluke is a great wrestler, but his win/lose stats aren't as high as they should be. I rate this match a 6.5 out of 10. Nacho Libre vs. Sandman was another bad match. I'd rate it 6 out of 10. I have nothing else to say about that sad excuse ofa match in professional wrestling. Except, The Sandman is a phenominal wrestler, but bringing in some movie character into wrestling was a huge no no. Big Show and Tommy Dreamer would be a nice feud to watch and I would like to see Tommy Dreamer come out on top. I'll give that brawl a 10 out of 10. I'm excited for Sabu vs. John Cena in an Extreme Lumberjack Match at WWE's Vengeance. That should be good. But anyway, back to ECW. Kelly's dance segment was once again a waste of time and ECW shoul never give her another segment that bad. I'm excited for the new and improved Test to return to wrestling on WWE's ECW. That's all I have to say for this episode.moreless
  • way better than the crap they ran last week now only if we could get 1 more hour and 3 more matches

this was a better example of ECW than the WWE/ECW premiere aired on 6/13/06

even though there was a squash match, the 2 "real matches" were very fine examples of ECW

Sabu illustrated chairs and tables in his match with Mamaluke

RVD showed a chair can be useful

and even ECW alumni Lita got in on some extreme action as she was constantly interfering in the main event

sandman demonstrated the usage of a kendo stick on "Macho Libre" (cross between Nacho Libre and Macho Man Randy Savage)

in the end it was a very good show

    with a special suprise

    Test is coming back!

    Hell Ya!moreless
  • Better Than Last Weeks

Well the show kicked off with Sabu going against Tony Mamaluke accompanied by Trinity. This was basically a squash match as Big and Little Guido weren't there at ringside. Sabu got over well and the crowd were pumped!

Who the hell decided Kelly would make great tV by dancing and teasing...oh yeah...that Perv, Vince McMahon!

The Show destroyed Dreamer with a move move and left as Dreamer smiled!

The main event was a near 30 minute match and it didn't disappoint. Orton hurt his arm so this will affect Sunday's match quality. RVD got the pinfall on Edge!

It was a great show and a few more ECW chants than last week but with ECW after Smackdown, some people probably left!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (1)

    • Tommy Dreamer: (To Big Show) Last week in the battle royal, you were dominant. You got your very first taste of what it's like to be hardcore, but if you wanna feel the heart and the passion of ECW, and if you wanna make a name for yourself here, then you have to go through me.

  • NOTES (8)

    • First time that Kelly managed to unhook her bra successfully as well as the first time that she gets covered with a towel before trying to show her breasts.

    • While The Sandman was walking to the ring he had a profile play in the upper-right corner of the screen. This was a play on what the Wrestling Superstars show did throughout the 80's. This was an idea for the new ECW fans to be introduced to the "originals."

    • It was at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.

    • Paul Heyman had more control over this episode of ECW on Sci-Fi than the premiere. Vince McMahon realized the previous episode was a bust and it needed a different direction.

    • Tonight the trend continued of The Sandman beating down somebody representing sports entertainment. This week it was Macho Libre a spoof of Jack Black's character in the movie "Nacho Libre" and a bit of a spoof on "Macho Man" Randy Savage

    • ECW scored a rating of 2.3 on its initial airing.

    • ECW went head to head this week against the NBA but still managed to get a high rating.

    • Randy Orton injured his arm during the main event.
