  • Buh Gawd! King, it's the three for all!

Sorry, for that JR scream in the summary. Had to do it.

I like the fact that this show had a lot of wrestling on it. They gave both title matches time to tell a story, but the World Championship was the only one that really accomplished something. We saw the beginning of the rumored CM Punk heel turn here, even though he did nothing wrong. I loved how JR screamed "Come on!" when he broke up Jeff Hardy's pin attempt, as if he was not supposed to try and win the match.

The WWE Championship and ECW Title matches could not have been more boring though. Tommy Dreamer and Christian did not even look like they were trying and the crowd died before they even got in the ring. Dreamer as Champion in 2009 is a horrible idea. And there was little reaction to Orton's title win as well, because everybody in the building knew that it didn't matter, by Summerslam Triple H would have the title back. While there was an ample amount of wrestling, the ridiculous Donald Trump angle killed the show for me. I'll give it a chance next week, but I do not expect much.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

  • QUOTES (4)

    • John Cena: Yes folks, you heard it from the mouth of the Legend Killer himself, the WWE Universe will be talking about Randy Orton, which is the same thing that happens every week. The WWE Universe always talks about Randy Orton, except they don't talk about the fact that he's won back the WWE Championship that he so rightfully deserves. They ask the question why, why does a WWE Superstar with so much talent continue to be such a gutless, spineless, disrespectful, grand wizard of the baby oil boys club?

    • CM Punk: You know, it's funny. Last year around this time, almost to the day, I was here on Raw, I watched the Animal Batista beat up the champion, Edge, gave me an opportunity to cash in my first Money in the Bank. Everybody loved it. Nobody asked me anything about regrets. In fact, everybody loved it so much they gave me a Slammy Award for it. So I can only assume if Edge had won the Ladder Match at Extreme Rules, that I'd be back here in Raw once again, your conquering hero. But unfortunately, I cashed in on Jeff so now I'm supposed to have some sort of morality crisis. I put my body on the line at Wrestlemania so I could win a championship, not a popularity contest. Fortunately for me, I think most of the WWE Universe agrees with me. There is a very vocal minority that maybe doesn't see it that way.

    • Matt Hardy: You shouldn't feel any regret for what you did, because if I would have been in the same situation? I would have done the exact same thing.
      CM Punk: Really?
      Matt Hardy: Yeah.
CM Punk: Wow, that'd be pretty difficult considering you've never won Money in the Bank, you've never been World Champion once, let alone twice. So listen, man, don't come around here trying to empathise with me, okay? Me and you, we're not friends, we're nothing alike. You thrive on jealousy and spite and everything I've ever achieved in my life I've done the old-fashioned way, by earning it!

    • Mr McMahon: If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a billionaire with a massive ego.
Santino Marella: Must hate yourself then!
