So many things wrong with this episode of Raw. To make sure I do not forget any I will write most of my review in list format.

    - Bret Hart taking up the first 20 minutes of this show? What year is it?

    - A Divas swimsuit match with them wearing one pieces? They are not Snooki. Why do this?

    - Have a match with the NXT rookies and then have Sheamus bury all of them? How will that get people to watch the show?

But this Nexus thing hopefully ends at Summerslam. I am sick and tired of these losers getting this unwarranted push.moreless
  • Final show before Summerslam

    7.0
We got the final show before Summerslam. They pulled a pretty decent show trying to sell the ppv. The card was ok, but what was the highlight of the show was personal grudges.

We start with Bret Hart calling out Chris Jericho and Edge hoping to get them back to Team Wwe. Chris and Edge tried to cheapshot him to no avail. Pretty good opening. Bret despite the fact that he can no longer wrestler is still great at cutting promos and getting fans what they want. Match #1: Evan Bourne vs The Miz

Just another warmup for the Miz. A tale of two opposites one guy getting a big push and another guy on the jobbing end of things. Match #2: Melina vs Alicia Fox

Melina takes cares of business. Randy Orton / Sheamus confrontation

Hilarious confrontation and entertaining. Randy has gotten the better end of Sheamus. Sheamus tries to act like nothing happened and brings up stuff that doesn't matter. Randy puts him in his place. The obvious fight ensues. Randy gets the better end again. Sheamus can only hope to get dq'ed at Summerslam.

Match #3: Percy Watson, Lucky Cannon & Kaval vs Michael McGillicutty, Alex Riley & Husky Harris

An ok match for the rookies. Then Sheamus being showed up again by Randy Orton takes it out on the rookies. Very funny actually. For a Wwe star at this level to take out his problems on the rookies does more for them than it does him. I would be surprised if down the line the rookies take out their revenge on Sheamus.

Match #4: R-Truth & John Morrison vs William Regal & Zach Ryder

John Morrison and R-Truth get the expected win.

Match #5: Bella Twins vs Eve & Gail Kim vs Maryse & Jillian Hall

Silly Diva match but entertaining as always. Match #6: Lumberjack: John Cena & Bret Hart vs Chris Jericho & Edge.

Just a brawl. Obvious with Bret's poor health that this wasn't gonna be a real match. Cena exchanges blows with Chris and Edge then gets into an exchange with rookies. Eventually the match is short and ends in a no contest.

A free for all ensues that sees apparently Chris and Edge rejoin the team. It'll be interesting to see though given everything that's happened who'll actually come on top at Summerslam. I think the whole angle has been done well. Some Iwc fans complain that the Wwe always pushes the same talent, yet they complain about this angle which is clearly an attempt to push forward a lot of promising talent. As far as the Wwe they've started to show over the years that they aren't like other promotions, they can develop their own stars, develop their characters, create new brands, and use them appropriately.moreless
