  • Better than last Raw, but still pretty boring.

Eh, It was okay. I'm really surprised that ECW was better than Raw this week in my opinion. I really hate how Batista thought that Kane chockslammed him really hard. Did anyone else see the impact of the chokeslam? I hope you didn't because there wasn't a impact at all! Besides, hasn't Batista gotten hit by more than a chokeslam. Man, Raw is getting worse and worse each time they show it. Also, Jim Duggan... quit already! Nobody likes you man. Yes you won the very first royal rumble, but who cares. This is the future. You need to get a life! Leave pros and go. Geez, it's like talking to a computer...

  • CM Punk vs. Batista

    6.2
Heading toward the second biggest PPV of the year, Summerslam, WWE put forth another weak outing on this edition of Monday Night RAW. The Kane and Batista feud is mildly interesting, but having it constantly disrupt matches is pointless. It hurts the potential drawing ability of CM Punk, and it makes the World Championship look like a prop (something Vince Russo over at TNA agrees with).

Women being involved in two matches, while Jamie Noble and Charlie Haas sat on the sidelines was ridiculous. D'Lo Brown's return was a decent match, and hopefully he can help freshen up the dull world of WWE. He is someone who always works hard and can become a main eventer if given the opportunity.

The first night Kane attacked Michael Cole there was a plethora of internet buzz on the topic. Now, only a few weeks later we've gotten no pay-off and people could care less who "he" is.moreless

    • CM Punk: JBL, you're right about one thing. This is the law of the jungle, we got the Animal Batista, and if its the jungle, I'm the World Heavyweight Champion, and I guess that makes me the king, doesn't it? The last time I checked, the king doesn't have to listen to a word you have to say.

    • Jerry Lawler: (about Kelly Kelly) I talked to her earlier, I asked if she'd like for me to add a little magic to her life. She said yeah, and told me to disappear.

    • Jerry Lawler: (to Jim Duggan) In case you didn't know it, there's no age limit in the WWE. Now I don't care what DiBiase and Cody Rhodes said last week. As long as you're passionate about getting in this ring and doing what you love to do, you can do it as long as you want to do it. And let me tell you something else. Do you realise, Jim, that you have something, you can do something that Barack Obama and John McCain would kill for? Just your mere presence makes millions of people stand on their feet and chant 'USA!'

    • Ted DiBiase Jr: (to Jerry Lawler) Jerry, just 'cause you like to date girls younger than us doesn't mean you relate to us in any way.

    • CM Punk: I'd rather be an ex-champion with a lot of self respect and integrity than one who continuously held onto the title through technicalities or took the easy way out. You know, if I'm going down, Todd, I'm gonna go down swinging.

    • Santino Marella: Last week when I made an open challenge, I was referring to fighting a man. I don't fight people with the fallopian tubes, okay?

    • Chris Jericho: Everything that happened last night is all of your fault. Every single thing you just saw is on each and every one of you. There's no blood on my hands. Shawn came out and wrestled last night even though he knew he was hurt, I knew that he was hurt and he did it to please all of you. He did it to make all of you happy because you inspire him, you inspire him to do things that no other human being should do, or could do. Shawn took one chance to many and now he is paying for your sins. When I came back to the WWE I said I was coming back to save all of you, then I realized you don't deserved to be saved. You made your choice to side with a liar and an egomaniac and you will regret that decision the same way Shawn Michaels will regret that decision for the rest of his life. Because a he said earlier, in all probability Shawn Michaels career is over. Shawn has cracked ribs, he has internal bleeding and worst of all he apparently has a detached retina which will prohibit him from seeing properly for the rest of his life. He was brutalized, he was damaged and I have no remorse whatsoever.
But the ironic thing is, by closing Shawn's eye he opened my eyes as well. He proved to me that I don't have to be obsessed with pleasing a group of people who can't think for themselves, with no morals and no integrity. People like all of you, people who didn't accept me when I came back to the WWE. You never embraced me, you never took me in your arms, you vilified me, you cut me down, you booed me, you ignored me. You wanted the wild and crazy guy with the long hair who told the jokes. I'm not that man anymore. I have matured, I have grown up. Shawn Michaels never has, and none of you ever have either. And as disturbing as this might sound, I'm actually proud of what I did. I'm proud of what happened to Shawn Michaels last night. And by possibly ending the career of the most corrupt, immoral, disruptive individual in WWE history, I now consider myself: saved.
