  • Eric Bischoff, General Manager for a day

    6.4
Hello once again wrestling fans, Roy Stantz here, with a review of the 6th November 2006 episode of WWE Raw.

The show started with Edge, Randy Orton, and the new Women's Champion Lita verbally kissing Eric Bischoff's butt until the new World Tag-Team Champions Rowdy Roddy Piper and the Nature Boy Ric Flair came out and Piper delivers the greatest line:

"Edge, your show is nothing but a Roddy Piper rip-off. And Orton, you couldn't even rip off your old man!"

This sets the scene for a title match later tonight.

Oh look, it's the white Jonathan Coachman aka Johnny Nitro with the lovely Melina taking on the Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy. After a grueling high-flying match, Jeff wins by disqualification when Melina grabs his ankle...or does he? Nope, 'cause Bischoff orders that the match be restarted with No DQ's. By the way, Nitro won by whacking Jeff with the gold. I think that Nitro is becoming a modern-day version of the Honky Tonk Man.

Kevin Federline appears on the Titantron and rips on John Cena, as well as challenge him to a match on New Year's Day.

Now, it's time for Eugene and Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. the Spirit Squad. As the match progressed, I thought to myself, "If this doesn't signal a Eugene heel turn, nothing will!" And I keep thinking about how good WWE's Team Rocket would look if Mitch dyed his hair magenta, Nicky dyed his hair blue, and Nicky dress up like Meowth. Anyways, the Spirit Squad win, and Eugene snaps by beating up Duggan!

As we come to Umaga vs. Maria, if you listen carefully, you can hear Maria's neck snap when Umaga slams his big butt into her skull! John Cena comes, F-U's Todd Grisham, and accepts K-Fed's challenge!

Skip a few backstage segments, and we're back with Chris Masters vs. Jerry The King Lawler. I laughed a lot on the inside watching Lawler get beat up. I bet he hasn't had this much fun since Bret The Hitman Hart made him kiss his own foot!

This week in Wrestling History: 21 years ago, on November 7th 1985, the WWF launched their very first pay-per-view called the Wrestling Classic, which involved a big bundle of star power, including the British Bulldogs, The Iron Sheik, Terry Funk, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Junkyard Dog, Roddy Piper, and Hulk Hogan.

Cryme Tyme join Jim Ross for commentary on Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin. And obviously, Cryme Tyme steal Benjamin's stuff. I wonder if Charlie Hass will get involved in this feud. All he's gotta do is stop standing behind Viscera and Bob's your uncle!

Yes, here comes my highlight of the night. Lita defending the Women's title against my girl Mickie James! And as a bit of trivia, Mickie is wearing the same tiny white halter top, peach miniskirt, and white boots that she wore on the August 14th episode of Raw where she lost the belt to Lita. And as an added bonus, Lita demands that Mickie wrestle with one hand tied behind her back. Lita wins the match much more easier, but I know they'll have another rematch.

Now, let's get straight to Roddy Piper and Ric Flair defending the World Tag-Team titles against Randy Orton and Edge, and Eric Bischoff is refereeing the match. Piper and Flair win the match when D-Generation X interfere and beat up Bischoff with Big Dick Johnson, who I did not want to see.

That's all for today, folks. Join me again next time.

  • Not one of Raw's finest hours......

    3.4
This is without a doubt the worst Raw episode in a LONG time. And that is saying something, people. Reasons being:

    1) Eric Bischoff being the General Manager. STUPID....MOVE.

    2) Nitro winning the Intercontilnetal title after he received the LEAST amount of votes at Cyber Sunday. Jeff Hardy and Carlito had a great match on Sunday, increasing the prestige that title had over the years. Instead of a Cyber Sunday rematch or a match with Shelton who was the runner-up, we get Nitro of all people. The Intercontilnetal title's prestige has been killed again. Way to go, WWE.

    3) Maria Vs Umaga is nothing but a joke.

    4) Masters Vs Lawler (who had his hand handcuffed to the rope) Now was that really necessary, just to make a bodybuilder look good? Even worse, Mickie Vs Lita had similar stipulations. Geez, it failed once, why do it twice?

    5) The fans' interaction throughout the night. Heh, what interaction?

    6) K-Fed and Big Dick Johnson. Need I say more?!?

The only good parts was Cena and Flair/Piper on the microphones.

RAW had better get their acts together and start listening to the fans more, cause SmackDown, ECW and TNA are gonna run them into the ground when it is all said and done.moreless
  • Not the best episode of Raw by a long shot

    6.1
Fresh off a so called fan interactive PPV they show that they don't liisten to their fans.

Carlito with 62% of the vote has to beat Benjamin in some poor finish where Nitro who nobody even wanted on the PPV gets to win the IC title? what rubbish is that? They need to put some gold on Carlito fast.

Umaga beats up Maria and Cena comes out for the save, wow what a hero maybe he should have come out before the match started then Maria wouldn't have had to sit there with her legs wide open for so long.

He then goes on to state that things don't make sense and for no reason FU'S Grisham, yeah cuz that made sense!!moreless
