Tuesday afternoon Jerry Lawler update - friends of Jerry Lawler's family tell PWTorch that Lawler had three stints put in Monday night following a heart attack. Lawler still has not spoken since passing out during Raw.

Jerry Lawler's ex-wife and former WWE Diva Stacy "The Kat" Carter provided the following update on Lawler's condition. The good news, he is now off ventilation but tests are being done to see if he has any brain damage due to the time it took to revive him:

"I have an update on Jerry. The docs are removing his ventilation & taking him out of sedation. He is responsive, which is great!!! It took a while to revive him last night so there's the concern of brain damage. He had some tests done which will show how much if any damage there is due to the lack of oxygen to his brain. Unfortunately, the results won't be in until in the morning. I appreciate all the calls, texts, tweets, & Facebook messages of support & I know Jerry will too. Thanks everybody!"

What a horrifying event this was! You always hate when something like this happens to someone.

Yes it was. I'm glad things are looking up for him.

Ric Flair appeared on CNN Headline News's "Evening Express" Tuesday evening to discuss Jerry Lawler's heart attack during Raw. Flair defended Lawler, 62, wrestling at his age and WWE allowing Lawler to be physically involved in WWE shows, saying he believes Lawler is more qualified to wrestle than many other wrestlers on the roster because he has 40 years of in-ring experience and some younger wrestlers on the roster have five or fewer years of experience.

Flair added that "great medical advances" have been made to protect wrestlers and the available ringside and backstage help at the show probably saved his life. Flair concluded the interview: "Nobody made Jerry get in the ring. He got in the ring because he's a great pro."

I often question why the WWE let Lalwler wrestle, but I'm usually suprised when I find out he's still pretty good. I'm glad he's making progress what a crazy night!

He looks happy. Hope he changes his diet to help him stay with us for another 60 years.
