It looks like Lord Tensai, now known simply as Tensai, has been deemed "a flop" by WWE officialswhen he did not impress anyone backstage after his victory against John Cena on the April 16 edition of Raw. Creative had plans to book Tensai in a feud with Cena, with a match happening at Over The Limit. This was not the case, as they gave the push to The Big Show, who interfered in a match between John Cena and John Laurinaitis.

It has been discussed internally to scrap the Tensai and John Laurinaitis vs. John Cena feud, which was expected to carry into the summer months. Tensai, who has yet to lose on WWE TV, suffered his first loss in front of a WWE crowd after Raw went off the air Monday. He was pinned by John Cena.

It looks like Tensai will continue to stay on WWE Superstars and work there before a possible repackaging. Officials are noting that he is not connecting whatsoever to the crowd, and that no progression has been made since his return. He has already lost the robe and mask, and has been seen with a more aggressive attitude before his matches.

We will continue to watch this story unfold in the coming weeks.

Called it! He needs to go back to Japan.

    Discuss.

Obviously he wasn't getting over with the "Albert" chants and nobody taking the guy seriously. This is why I thought it was stupid for him to pin Cena and Punk. People kept saying he got better in Japan, but I still find him to be boring to watch in the ring.

Well, I just hate seeing A-Train's new character being called a flop. Before this year, it's been so long since he's made an appearance, and now that he's back, he's being called a flop. All because he lost to Cena!

Technically, he hasn't lost. He lost at a house show which doesnt count.

He never had it to begin with.

    Here's an idea:

Stop acting like people don't have the foggiest idea as to who Tensai was in the past (which from the 'Albert' chants proves me wrong) and actually USE that to their advantage.

That is not why he's being called a flop. He's a flop because his in-ring skills are sub-par, his character is very boring, and most importantly, he can not generate any heel heat despite pinning the two biggest faces in Cena and Punk.

Good!! I always thought he was garbage even as Albert. I stayed changing the channel/fast fowarding him in my DVR.

He mainly got over as a tag team guy in Japan, he was the muscle while his more agile partner Karl Anderson brought the excitement. Maybe they should try something like that.
