Some fantasy football advice. Who should I start?

    Gore @ Seattle

    or

Marion Barber vs. that horrible Rams defense

After what he did to the Bears' defense last week, Marion Barber hands down. Your only worrywith him is how much touches Julius Jones will get, too. Gore been struggling a bit with only 3.4 yards per carry despite playing the Rams once already.

Barber has been lights out. He leads all running backs with 5 TD's and was a fantasy steal for me. I'll go with him.

In another league, I have Addai (vs. Denver) and Gore (vs. Seattle). Who would you choose between these two? Addai has been more consistant this season and Denver can't seem to stop the run this year so I'm leaning more towards Addai.

Start Gore, he will do better against a Seattle D that isn't that good, don't start Addai because Denver is good vs the run, the reason they are ranked low is because of a big 30 yard run by Jordan and the Jags ran the ball because they couldn't pass well, other than those 2 reasons Denver's run D has been solid.

Marshawn Lynch(a rookie) had 19 carries for 90 yards and a TD in week 1 against Denver in week one. LaMont had 25 carries for 159 yards against at Denver in week 2. Jacksonville wasn't the only game they had problems stopping the run.

So do you think I should start Addai?

Gore had two great games against Seattle last season but like you mentioned, Gore hasn't been doing much this season. The only reason I'm thinking of starting him over Addai is because he is the 49ers offense. If the 49ers score 3 TD's on Sunday, I see Gore scoring atleast 2 of those TD's, if not all three. The Colts on the other hand have a number of weapons they can utilize in the red zone, including TE Dallas Clark who has had 13 receptions and 2 TD's so far this season. Then of course, Wayne and Harrison are options.

Last year against Seattle Gore had24 rushes for 212 yards in one game and in the other he had 29 rushes for 144 yards while Addai against Denver last year had 17 rushes for 93 yards, and both teams have almost the exact same players on D.

but how do you explain Fred Taylor averaging 4.9 yards per carry in that game? Even without that big 30 yard run, Jordan still averaged 5.2 yards a carry against the Broncos. Marshawn Lynch had a good game against Denver as well, averaging 4.7 yards a carry.

So who cares how many yards per rush they had, the thing that matters is how many yards they give up and they gave up under 100 to Lynch and Jordan who had about 40 yards in OT alone so really he rushed for about 120 which isn't good but it's not that bad, and for the Jacksonville game most of those yards came in garbage time when the game was over for Denver. So other than Jordans 40 yards in OT and Jacksonville running a lot when the game was pretty much over Denver's D has been good.

It's a better indication of how well a team can stop the run.

If a running back gets 40 carries for 120 rushing yards (3 yards/carry) against the Broncos, I'd say the Broncos did a good job of stopping the run. Despite the 40 carries, they managed to hold him to 120 yards.

On the other hand, if that same running back were to get 15 carries and only 80 rushing yards (5.3 yards/carry), the Broncos did clearly worse against the run even if the total rushing yards doesn't indicate it.

Its about to be 24-3.... The crappy Ravens are sometimes funny to watch...

There is still time for a comeback, so I won't start worrying until the end of the 3rd quarter.

Chicago has finally found some offense, but now their defense is looking bad with all those injuries. The Bears are down 24-20 to the Lions. BTW, Cleveland beat Baltimore and Atlanta beat Houston.

I'm convinced. The NFL is rigged.

Brett Favre will lead the Packers to the Super Bowl in his last season in the NFL, the very season he surpasses Marino's record. This is Jerome Bettis all over again.

I have my shirt over my head right now, the Panthers are getting dominated at home. I sending a petition for Carolina to play all their games on the road because they suck at home.

You told him to start Gore so he should blame you if he loses his game, I told him to start Gore as well but I'm a Bronco fan so what did he expect me to say.

Who do you guys think I should start at running back?

Brian Westbrook (might not play but really good if he does vs. Giants)

    or

Kenny Watson (Fresh but vs. Patriots)

That's true, the Broncos, Ravens, Panthers, and 49ers all got beat today

Denver got beat by the run a lot but we held Manning to under 200 passing yards which is great considering it's Peyton Manning.

Definitely Westbrook. Just watch NBC and ESPN for the next hour to keep up with his injury status. If they say he'll be out with injury, well then you haven't got much of a choice.

I'm sure the Pats aren't the only team in the NFL to bend the rules to get ahead and even without the cheating, they're still dominating and will most likely be the top AFC team by the end of the season.

    On the 49ers game:

I never thought I'd be so upset to hear Alex Smith got injured. Old Man Dilfer just made some horrible decisions.
