WWE: Did You Know?: Last Monday RAW was once again the #1 show on cable TV – beating its nearest competition by over 1 million viewers.
Montel Vontavious Porter "MVP" was wearing the number 24 shirt, which is the same number Los Angeles Lakers' player Kobe Bryant wears. This is because Kobe Bryant is considered the "MVP" of the Lakers team.
The event was originally scheduled to take place at the Pepsi Center in Devner, Colorado. However, due to scheduling conflicts with the Denver Nuggets team holding a basketball game at the same arena on the same day against the Lakers, Raw was forced to move to the Staples Center in exchange for monetary retribution.
Announcer: In celebration of Memorial Day in America, tonight we dedicate this edition of Raw to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who paid the ultimate price for our country. We owe a debt of gratitude to these dedicated patriots who defended our freedoms to their deaths, a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. Because of their sacrifice, we as a nation are free to exercise all of our freedoms as guaranteed by our constitution.
(during a match between Maryse and Kelly Kelly)
Michael Cole: Who do you think's gonna win this match, JR?
Jim Ross: I think the blonde will probably have the edge.
Michael Cole: Great!
Jim Ross: I'm going out on a limb there.
Mr Kennedy: You look kinda surprised, Randy. Oh, did you think this was over? Did think this was over too? Because, I don't know, I think it's just gettin' started. It's just the beginning, Randy. In fact, tonight marks the official return of a man who will very shortly be, among many other things, WWE Champion. Oh, oh, and also that guy, he's also gonna be, oh I don't know, the final guy in the five on five main event tonight. And that man is known all around the world as Mr Kennedy……Kennedy!
Michael Cole: Remember, Beth and Santino were an item for many many months. Glamarella, they were once called.
Jim Ross: Are you bragging about that or complaining? I'm not quite sure.
Jim Ross: Hornswoggle's more out of control than Conan O'Brien's hair.
