For the first time this year WWE Monday Night Raw had to battle against Monday Night Football for ratings, and they definitely did not do a good job of telling people to watch scripted wrestling instead of real football.

The Raw Roulette gimmick should have been abandoned when Eric Bischoff left the company. It is just stupidity and led to too many ridiculous gimmick matches.

Raw is a stagnant state right now and honestly, I will definitely be tuning into Monday Night Football from this point forward and saying no to WWE Raw. They are afraid to take risks because of Linda McMahon's election and it shows.moreless

    7.0
Despite them using the gimmicky Raw Roulette wheel, this wasn't that bad of a show honestly.

Like any Raw show, there is of course some lack of balance, but as far as Main Events and pushing toward a Ppv, the shows are for most part decent.

Match #1: Submission: Daniel Bryan vs The Miz

Good match to setup Miz possibly dropping the title to Bryan Danielson. Bryan is over with the fans, and the E knows this, but he had to start like everybody else earning a spot. By now, he's earned his spot and now the E seems serious about giving Bryan Danielson the push everyone expects. He beats the Miz, makes him tapout, and then makes his protege Alex Reilly tapout . Overall a good setup for the Night of Champions match. Match #2: Body Slam Challenge: Evan Bourne vs Edge

Ok for what it was a time filler.

Match #3: Song & Dance Match: R-Truth & Eve vs Ted DiBiase & Maryse

    Another time filler.

Match #4: Falls Count Anywhere: John Morrison vs Sheamus

Excellent match, Ppv quality. A great match overall with action taking place all over the arena. Cool highlight with Sheamus throwing John off the stage, only for John to land on his feet. Good match, Main Event like, possibly a test run for John Morrison. Chris Jericho comes out to interfere. Match #5: Handicap Steel Cage: The Hart Dynasty vs Chris Jericho

Another decent match. David Hart Smith is able to escape the cage leaving Chris and Tyson to put up the rest of the match. Overall a couple of nice spots and Chris Jericho gets his spot back in the ppv. Match #6: Trading Places: Goldust vs William Regal

    Another time filler.

Match #7: Tables: John Cena vs Randy Orton

A preview of things to come if Randy wins the title. Stipulation was a tables match so obviously we're going to have a wild finish at the end which we did. Nexus comes to interfere but this time it backfires on them. Randy has been getting a massive push here, so he ends up leaving destruction in the ring.

A smart way to finish the program with leaving the main guy to win the Ppv to close out the program. There were a couple of lame time fillers, but there was also a couple of quality matches on here, so not a bad show at all.moreless
