I do not like this show everything is acted on wikipedia.com it said it is scripted I would not recommend this show to any to watch because it has gone down since the 90's, 80's, and early 2000's and some of the divas are kind of ugly like Beth Phonix i don't care she is just playing a role she is still very ugly in my opinion and John Cena he always tries to portray the "Hero" he is diffenitly not mine my hero is people like Barack Obama, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr.,Oprah Winfry, and Harriet Tubman, people like them!
WWE's been reduced to nothing but T&A and sex references (and Vince's fetish for big men). It's a pathetic shell of what Raw used to be. This is no longer a wrestling show. So boring and lackluster. Nothing like the good ol' days. If you want actual wrestling and unpredictable action, tune in to TNA. Cause you sure won't find it here, especially on WWE Raw, the most predictable show on cable televison. (okay, u get something unpredictable like once every five months. that's about it.)
As a former wrestling fan wwe is nothing but a joke now, santino morella are you kidding me! he is the intercontinental champion! what a waste of human time! i remember when the wwe story line's use to be at least decent now is a complete disaster. When vince russo lead the attitude "era" his story lines were incredible the hottest "era" of them all.Now they have a bunch of writers who don't have a clue about how wrestling works and Vince is just looking for shock value who are you going to sign next for a mach at wrestlemania Britney spears vs kane? no wonder t the rock has been declining invitation by wwe. steve i loved him as a wrestler and the entertainer that he is but not as a sell out to Vince, the only reason he appeared in cyber Sunday was because of course he is under vince McMahon's contract.flip the channel to spike tv and watch TNA WRESTLING instead.
I just dont get how watching cartoonishly big walking pharmacies toss each other around a square box in matches with pre-determined winners is entertaining. I understand winners need to be pre-determined because if they didnt do it, deaths in the ring would occur frequently. But I still run into people who think this is real. The wrestlers are basically stunt men in staged matches determined by that creepy old guy Vince who runs the whole operation.
Im suprised this show is still on the air after everything that has gone on the last month. Even more suprising are the performers who pump themselves full of steroids and other pharmaceuticals when they know they are more than likely to be dead by 60. Is the money really worth it? Back in the 80s I used to work at a place where the night shift guys loved to watch "wrastling". I didnt get it then and I get it even less now. Its a shame that Benoits wife and kid had to die to put a spotlight on this so-called sport.
I remember the good ol days when wrestling actually had good storylines. Nowadays, seems like the writers can’t produce good or original storylines and hence keep repeating the same ones over and over again. Plus it doesn’t help that superstars keep switching brands all the time. I was seriously devastated to see Triple H leave RAW to go to Smackdown. Since then, I slowly stopped watching RAW, and I’ve never liked watching Smackdown. Poor storylines combined with poor drafting choices have made me lose interest in WWE completely. I don’t know if I’ll ever watch wrestling again, at least not for a couple of years.
Sorry, but wrestling in general is really stupid and fake. I don't understand why people enjoy watching a bunch of scripted stuff and a bunch of fat guys fight each other, or "fight" I should say. I mean, even when wrestling was popular when I was little, I never liked it. My cousin is obsessed with wrestling, and I honestly don't get it. The whole entrance by wrestlers is so stupid. I mean, its a bunch of white guys who wanna be black, and I'm not racist, but its just sad to see. These wrestlers make their own rap music now and its just really a terrible thing to see because most of it is horrible. But anyway, this show is really past its prime.
THE WINNER OF ALL MATCHES ARE PREDETERMINED. THE WHOLE MESS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM TELEVISION. AS FOR DWAYNE JOHNSON (AKA) THE ROCK: HE IS WANNA BE AND HE WILL NEVER ATTAIN THE GREATNESS OF HIS GRANDFATHER. FURTHER MORE IT WAS AN INSULT TO STAR DWAYNE JOHNSON IN THE REMAKE OF THE MOVIE "WALKING TALL" AND IT IS EVEN A GREATER INSULT FOR DWAYNE JOHNSON TO COMPARE HIMSELF TO TRUE AMERICAN HERO'S OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. i WILL NO LONGER WATCH W.W.E. AND WILL BOYCOTT ANY W.W.E. SPONCERS
i hate wrestling. this is ridiculous!! wrestling could not possible teach kids more to be annoying, violent, and racist. and i'm not just some person that sees commercials and is like "thats so messed up" no. i used to watch wrestling with my sister when i was little. it did nothing for me, it wasnt education, if anything gave me nightmares. now my little brother watches it and i could not hate it more. especially when i see episode while hes watching it. its horrible in EVERY single way. its demeaning to women. its racist. its MINDLESS violence. i hate wrestling.
Granted, the flagship program of the WWE (and as the longest-running episodic show ever on cable TV)--like everything else--has changed with the times and as such, it nowadays caters more to the casual fan and to families with children, instead of the hardcore old-school fans of years past. Despite that, declining ratings, and "creative" writers who couldn't write out of a paper bag creating sloppy storylines that aren't entertaining in the slightest, the company still comes out on top of the sports-entertainment empire, considering TNA (Total Nonstop Action) is bascially the second coming of WCW (World Championship Wrestling), but in the worst way possible--the same bad booking decisions by a non-fan of the business that's running the show, the same fights over creative control, and the same shoddy writting by Russo--hence why it barely registers under WWE's radar.
Hell, WWE considers other forms of television more competition than it does TNA and that's saying something!
Thus, having said that, because of the WWE's longevity and the fact that it--despite backstage politics--focuses on new superstars instead of merely putting all attention on the veterans of the company, this fan of wrestling will always stick with the company that been on top of things for 15+ years, hoping that something does happen to turn the business around and out of the slump it's in.
Its fake, i prefer Lucha libre. WWE is a complete waste of time, its only men wrestling in speedos, WOW! nope. Its all staged, and the tables are balsa wood. Most of the wrestlers are just people who don't have a life. Even as I speak my brother is defending WWE, but many people will agree with me.
How can any grown man watch this BS its terrible, i don't see the point of watching men in tights talk on microphones for two hours and wrestle for 20 minutes. I can understand watching this if you were a kid or something but when you see grown men cheering in the crowd it makes me feel so sad for them, their friends (if they have any), their families, and god forbid if they have kids. Why watch something fake when you can watch something like the UFC where they actually beat the s*** out of each other now thats something to watch
WWE Raw was great in the old days, now it is just horrible. WWE itself is going down hill very fast. WWE has very bad cruiserweights, and the tag team division is nearly dead. Women's championship is also useless. The only titles now that vince cares about is the US title, Intercontinental Title WWE title, and the World Heavyweight championship. I guess Vince just cares about big 250 pounds+ body builders. Watch TNA. TNA has some great cruiserweights, great Tag teams, and some good Heavyweights. TNA is on spiketv saturdays at 11pm, and is fast-paced and exciting, compared to WWE's boring stupid storyline wrestling garbage. watch TNA and dont waste your time with WWE.
wwe is getting soo fake u can see what is going to happen they kove things out the ring soo fast before they fight they are bring back tge old people now the i use to whatch it but not the show is going down so fast i can not
the lost a lot of viewers since 2003 it begain to be soo fake i change the channel why is the wwe on tv now they are old in they suck now verytime i see it on tv i get soo mad come on we need a new show that is better than wesling
this show is the same as wat i said bout smackdown. it sucks and thats that. firstly they had to change the channel to sky sports which hacked me off cos i very rarely got to c it on sundays at 11 so i decided to become a very gd fan of tna instead. thats y so many "former" wwe stars are in tna such as sean waltman, kevin nash rhino and christian cage just to name a few.
Horrible everything is so fake its all on script not really a fight. dont even waste your time with this show very very boring.Even if you like wrestling or fighting you wont like this I am huge fan of wrestling and when I heard about this I thought cool but when i saw it it was horrible!!!!
I used to watch raw every monday but now the show is way predictable, including smackdown. The show wouldn't be fun to watch if you know whats gonna happen. I know its fake but when big show stated losing most of his matches it got even more fake.like when john cena had the championship and had it like for a year without losing.he faced everybody for his title even newcomers like umaga,i knew cena was gonna to win because he won every match he was in.also like the storyline of mr mchmaons death that was ruined cause of chris benoit death, i knew he was gonna make up that he faked is death in the new storyline. What im trying to say that wwe in genaral is to predictable and if they cant step up their game they should call it quits.
You always hear the media complaining about violence in cartoon shows, when there have actually been cases of children getting hurt, even killed, by imitated wrestling moves. It's trash and it's got to go. Take this garbage off the air right now. It is absolute crap. It's just a bunch of arrogant morons who stage fights and get into arguments about nothing.
Ok, i will admit, i was a wrestling fan when i was little. But now all it is is a bunch of predetermined "wrestling" matches with unfunny drama. Also, with all the steroid use and deaths going on, why the hell is it even still going. Are you kidding me? There is now a death toll on a TV show. If people want to follow an actual sport, follow football! Its really hot right now! Quit wasting your time watching this fake crap! Besides, if your an adult and watching pro wrestling, you probably dont have a life. So watching TV shouldn't even be on your agenda.
This show is probably the fakest show ever! The only reason I gave this show a 2 out of 10, was because of the extremely hot chicks like Trish Stratus and Stacy Keibler. Other than that, this show SUCKS!! The plot lines and the fighting is the worst ever. Definitley change the channel if you come across this.
HOLY DAMM ok at WM we are going to have a thiple theat match if the undertaker moves to RAW. It is going to be the undertaker vs cena vs hbk. If the undertaker moves to ECW it will be Lashley vs the undertaker in a exstreme Hell in a cell match. If the undertaker stays on smackdown it will be batsita vs undertaker in a speacal match. At raw if the undertaker does move there HHH will come back at WM to team up with HBK and if X pac moves from wrestling secsiety X. It will be a 6 man tag i do not know who the oponets will be.
So this show is very intertaining....for some people. I know that when I frist started to watch wrestling I got obsess with it. I didn\'t want to do anything but come home and watch wrestling or play the video games. Now I could care less about it. Its not as fun as it was before. My mom loves it, and finds it very fun to watch, but me, yeah its boring now. I still watch it every now and then but its not the same.
As I've come from a family that regularly watches wrestling, I've always been around it, and occasionally watched it myself. Of the WWE programming, I'd have to say RAW has always been my favourite. However, things seem to have changed for the worse fairly recently, and it doesn't look like they're going to get any better. Now, yes.. I do know that most of wrestling is simple gimmicks and choreographed moves and such, I'd like to start off by saying that. I, however, often found RAW quite entertaining in past years. It depresses me to see how horribly wrong a show can go over the years. RAW, and the WWE in general are a good example of that. I'd like to start of with the recent changes the WWE seems to be making.
First of all. There's all these stupid and annoying storylines that seem to be popping up everywhere. Over-dramatized, unemotional garbage that alot of fans seem to love and eat up. I think it's ridiculous, and I really think the WWE needs to start firing some of their storyline writers, since these are and have been no good for a while now.
Second is a huge difference from what I remember. Alot of the "matches" no longer rely on much talent. And in many cases there are slip ups where you can see that things are pre-determined to go one way or another. The gimmicks of some of the wrestlers seem to play into this at times.
The third thing is one of the worst mistakes the WWE could've ever made. Bringing back the ECW television show and it's roster, treating it like it's on it's own, when they make it blatantly obvious that it is not.
The WWE seems to be misusing alot of their talent. I mean c'mon.. Rey Mysterio as heavyweight champion? It'd do them well if they brought back the hardcore title as well, and stripped that sorry excuse for a wrestler, Edge, of any title he has or will ever have.
Even the female wrestlers have suffered a large downgrade. Now being referred to as "divas" that seem to only be around for their looks and an occasional match. While having to take off 90% of the clothes on live TV half the time. The Quarter Million Dollar Dive Search, is an insult to all of wrestling. And makes it look like all a woman has to do to get into wrestling is look good.
I think the WWE is sometimes insulting to one's intelligence as well. Such as the recent "who's the father of Stephanie's baby?" gimmick with Triple H. Degeneration X is a huge downgrade from what I remember of the old DX. And the WWE is keeping far too many wrestlers that are passing or well past their prime. While trying to promote those that are going nowhere, instead of those that could actually go somewhere.
Case in point: Carlito in a stupid Trish Stratus love story, that's about as fake as Vince's ring entrance walk. Randy Orton in some stalker-esque love story with the God awful Hulk Hogan's daughter. It's just stupid. I pray that the WWE will change their ways, and actually make RAW decent again. Because as it is now, I think I'm going to begin investing my two hours on Monday night to a different cause than the USA Network.
If I'm not working, studying, or hanging out with a couple friends on Monday night, you can find me watching Monday Night RAW. I've always enjoyed wrestling. The psychology, storylines, and athleticism have always entertained me. There was a time when you could easily find something compelling in wrestling. Whether it was Sting fighting the nWo, Stone Cold Steve Austin owning any person who stood in his way, The Rock verbally destroying someone, or even classic matches from greats like Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero, and Kurt Angle, there was always something great. Then 2005 came along, and John Cena and Batista came to the main event to entertain kids below the age of 12. After that, watching RAW, or Smackdown! for that matter, became a guilty pleasure. From there, the women became nothing more than sex toys, the main event became a repetitive kids' show, and classic matches became PPV exclusive(which are still a rarity). However, RAW still has its moments. Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, and Jeff Hardy are amazing athletes and always manage to put on some great matches and segments, divas like Mickie James and Melina still manage to keep the women's division on life support, and rising stars like Mr. Kennedy and Santino Marella add to the show as well. It's too bad that Vince McMahon takes time out of the show to fuel his own ego with the "Million Dollar Mania" segments to add to the show. It's too bad that wrestlers like Triple H and John Cena take over the main event and refuse to put over anyone slightly interesting in order to keep their spot and annoy anyone above the age of 12. I watch this show because it's one of the only places to watch some new wrestling on TV, not because I'm a huge fan of WWE. If you do watch RAW, I advise you to not go bragging about it. I'm seriously embarassed as a human being to watch some of the terrible segments shown these days. So if you like wrestling, I suggest watching only once in awhile to see that match of the night with Chris Jericho or Jeff Hardy. Otherwise, you will most likely find nothing else but money giveaways, a 4-minute divas match, and some idiotic repetitive segments with John Cena, Triple H, and many others who are there to bore the crap out of us. I mainly watch for the one day that something big will finally happen once again. However, that hope has severely decreased over the past couple years, and I may be done with this show for good in a very soon time.
No Disqualification Match: Hornswoggle vs. Mr. McMahon (0/5)
This was a stupid match which I was glad to get over early. It had no wrestling at all and was a complete waste of time. These matches involving Hornswoggle are getting predictable since it's obvious by now that they aren't going to let the little leprechaun get hurt. Hornswoggle wins. JBL vs. Chris Jericho (3.5/5)
This was a physical match that was great to see after the terrible opening. I like how it was given some time to develop. Personally I would've liked it if more actual wrestling moves had been used. Jericho provided the high points of the match, since JBL isn't that great a wrestler. I like the clean ending. It was interesting to see Umaga come out afterwards and take out both JBL and Jericho, but I feel he won't win at No Way Out.
Paul Burchill vs. Brian Kendrick (2.5/5)
This was the debut of Paul on RAW. Burchill wins the match. It was a good way to introduce Paul onto the scene. Hopefully in the future Paul will use a wider variety of moves. Also Paul's sister Kati is very attractive. However, I don't like how recently Kendrick has become a jobber.
Mark Henry vs. John Cena (.5/5)
This match was predictable as it was obvious that Cena would win. Lately the big guys like Henry have just been jobbers to face wrestlers. I thought this was the same old garbage with Cena overcoming the odds. Mark Henry tapped out to the STFU.
Melina vs. Maria (3/5)
At first I thought Maria was going win since she is being pushed for Playboy. However, it surprised me when Melina won because of the distraction from Jillian at ringside. I see a rematch. Melina pulled off some decent moves and Maria is improving but still not good.
HBK vs. Jeff Hardy (5/5)
In my opinion this has been the best main event on RAW so far this year. There was great wrestling and it had you on the edge of your seat. HBK is still one of the greatest performers in the WWE today. In the end Jeff wins. I thought it could've gone either way. In other parts of the show we had McMahon announce a steel cage next week between him and Hornswoggle. I think somehow they will once again have the leprechaun escape harm. Also Kennedy came out and did a promo with Flair for their match at No Way Out. It was pretty obvious Flair wasn't going to forfeit, but it was still a good segment. Also Candice was advertised as returning to RAW soon. Once she comes back she will probably win back the women's title.
Overall I feel the only matches worth watching were JBL vs. Jericho and HBK vs. Jeff Hardy
This was a great show with average action except main event, and as good as last week. Opening Segment: Y2j and Steph McHHH'sman: Y2j had a great opening segement like last week, and great with what happen to him. **** stars
The opening match with Mysterio and Miz: Was a good match for only 3 1/2 minutes like in IC title tournament, but little notch down, but still good. But really out of all big men why did they pick Mike Knox. I could feel better with Mark Henry. Match: **1/4 stars
Regal vs. Punk: The same as last week, but less time, and less enterataning, and finish is getting me po'd, and Punk better win title next week. *1/2 stars
Orton vs. Kane: Was good for not hype up, but good but torn between anger and liking finish, but good. **1/4 stars
Funniest Moment: Marella: "Peace out G's"
HBK vs. Cena: Was a solid-great match overall and finish was good, and good way to help out average show. **** stars
