  • Show #344 (aka Hair today ... Gone tomorrow?)
    - Last week on RAW, a cocky Chris Jericho challenged Kevin Nash to a Hair vs. Hair Match. This week, Big Daddy Cool has accepted. Now Chris Jericho is wondering what he has got himself into. Have we seen the last of Y2J's flowing mane? Tune in to RAW next week to find out. - Fans were treated to the long-awaited return of Jim Ross to RAW this week. J.R. was quick to point the finger at who he thought was responsible for the burns he received at the hands of Kane. No, Ross did not lay all the blame on Kane. Rather, the voice of RAW placed most of the blame on Eric Bischoff. He then told Bischoff that he was going to sue him for forcing him to work in an unsafe working environment. Then J.R. talked about his decision to sue Eric a bit with his buddy Stone Cold Steve Austin. After talking to the Texas Rattlesnake, J.R. decided that he would drop his lawsuit against Bischoff if the RAW Co-General Manager signed on for a match. Thinking he was going to have to battle Shane McMahon, the same guy he pinned last week, Bischoff happily signed on for the match. Little did Bischoff know, however, the match was really against Kane! - Believe it or not, Eric Bischoff was able to score a count out victory over Kane. After his match, Bischoff relaxed in his locker room. While relaxing, Stone Cold told Bischoff that he should have read the contract more clearly. The contract clearly stated that the winner of Eric Bischoff vs. Kane would have to battle Shane McMahon at SummerSlam. - The main event of the evening saw Goldberg battling Ric Flair, with Randy Orton serving as guest referee. Clearly, Orton had trouble calling the bout down the middle. As a result, he found himself a victim of a Goldberg Spear. While the ref was out, Goldberg Jack Hammered Ric Flair. Shawn Michaels ran down and motioned Orton's arm three times towards the mat, signifying that Goldberg was indeed the victor. - Match Results: * Rico & Miss Jackie defeated Scott Steiner & Stacy * The Dudley Boyz defeated La Resistance via DQ * Intercontinental Champion Christian defeated Spike * Eric Bischoff defeated Kane by count out * Women's Champion Molly pinned Gail Kim to retain the title. • Show #337 (aka The Man Beneath the Mask)
    - In most cases, the champion is considered the heavy favorite heading into title matches. When Triple H defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Kane, however, he appeared to be the underdog. With Kane's life as he knows it (behind the shelter of a mask) on the line, Kane was battling for more than the championship. He was battling for his mask, as well. - Unfortunately for Kane, Evolution members Randy Orton and Ric Flair interfered in the match, causing the big red monster to lose the match. After the match, Kane found himself deep in thought. For the first time ever, he was to reveal himself to the world. He paused several times before finally pulling his mask from his face. When he finally did so, he freaked out, attacking his long-time friend Rob Van Dam. When he finally settled down, RAW cameras zoomed in on the man beneath the mask. Nobody could have ever imagined that Kane looked as he does. - Before heading out on a book tour to promote his new novel Tietam Brown, Mick Foley was called out to the RAW ring by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Once in the ring, Foley was unsure as to why he was called out. Stone Cold then announced that he was holding a Hardcore Legend Ceremony for him. Among the Superstars honoring the Hardcore Legend were Rob Van Dam, Al Snow, Tommy Dreamer and the Dudley Boyz. Foley was presented with an honorary Hardcore Championship belt, before an emotional video montage of his career was shown. - Rodney Mack had been very successful during his string of White Boy Challenge matches. On this night, Mack was not so lucky. Goldberg defeated Mack handily in under 30 seconds. - It was also announced that Madison Square Garden would be the host of WrestleMania XX. - Match Results: * Intercontinental Champion Christian & Test defeated Scott Steiner & Booker T when Test pinned Steiner. * Maven defeated Christopher Nowinski via pinfall. * The Dudley Boyz defeated Lance Storm & Chris Jericho when D-Von pinned Storm after a 3-D. * World Tag Team Champions La Resistance defeated Sgt. • Show #336 (aka Kane makes a decision)
    6/16/03
    8.2
    - Mick Foley showed up on RAW even though he said that he would go back to his "normal life" after Bad Blood. The Hardcore Legend had a lot on his mind, but he was unable to unload it all before Evolution came to the ring and interrupted him. Randy Orton told Foley he was washed up and should stay out of WWE. Orton then went on to reveal that Evolution was going to extend an invitation to a WWE Superstar to join their group. Before long, all three members attacked Foley. Just when it looked like Evolution had Foley's number, however, Maven and Al Snow came to the ring and saved their buddy. - Later in the evening, fans learned that the Superstar Evolution had their eye on was Kane. After Kane got his team disqualified in the night's main event, the big red monster went on a killer rampage. Triple H came to the ring to tell Kane that it was good to see the old Kane back. He told him that he was impressed with his renewed mean streak. He then asked Kane to join Evolution. Before Kane could answer the World Heavyweight Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin hit the ring and told Kane that he would give him a shot at Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship next week if he turned down Triple H's offer. Eric Bischoff's music then hit the arena. The Co-general Manager told Kane that if he were to accept Stone Cold's offer and lose, he would have to remove his mask. After a short deliberation, Kane chokeslammed Triple H, signifying the fact that he had chosen to take the shot at the World Heavyweight Championship even though his mask was on the line. - Rico returned to WWE on RAW. This time, he had Jackie Gayda by his side. In his return match, Rico handily defeated Spike Dudley. - WWE rookie Garrison Cade battled Lance Storm in a one-on-one battle. Before the match started, Stone Cold came to the top of the ramp with a pillow and a blanket. Throughout the match, Stone Cold reminded Storm how boring he was and that his personality and wrestling style puts him to sleep. - Match Results: * Ivory & the Dudley Boyz defeated Jazz, Rodney Mack & Christopher Nowinski when Ivory pinned Women's Champion Jazz. * Garrison Cade pinned Lance Storm in a boring match. * Goldberg & Booker T defeated Christian & Chris Jericho when Booker T pinned Intercontinental Champion Christian. * Test and Mae Young wrestled to a no contest. * Rico defeated Spike Dudley via pinfall. * Randy Orton (with Ric Flair) defeated Maven (with Mick Foley) via pinfall. * World Tag Team Champions La Resistance defeated Rob Van Dam & Kane via disqualification.moreless

  • Show #334 (aka Not even Evolution can hold back the Nature Boy)
    - With less than two weeks to go until he battles Shawn Michaels at Bad Blood on pay-per-view, Ric Flair took to the ring and explained how he became the most respected man in sports entertainment. According to he Nature Boy, you cannot claim you are the greatest unless you have slept with 3,000 women, spent $30 million, wrestled 350 nights a year and bled each and every night. Ric Flair has done this, and according to him, this makes him the greatest. - Flair did manage to show a touch of bitterness, however. Several years ago when Shawn Michaels was on top of the WWE mountain, Flair said that everywhere he traveled, people told him that HBK was the man and that HBK was the new legend and that HBK was the greatest of all time. This clearly still haunts Flair. According to the Nature Boy, though, he is going to make Michaels his bitch when the two go one-on-one on June 15 at Bad Blood. - Elsewhere on RAW, Christian took over for a hiding-Chris Jericho as host of the Highlight Reel. As host, Christian's first plan of action was to change the name of the show to the Peep Show, in recognition of all his peeps out there. As scheduled, The Rock was Christian's guest on the show. Over the past several weeks, the new Intercontinental Champion has flaunted his new relationship with The Rock, claiming that it was Rock that anointed him the "New People's Champ." When The Rock hit the Peep Show stage, however, fans learned that this was far from true. In fact, The Rock went on to say that he was the one and only People's Champion. The capacity crowd then blew the roof off of the arena to show their support for The Rock. - Not long after The Rock showed up Christian, Chris Jericho headed to the ring to take his show back over. It only took a couple of minutes before both Jericho and Christian were double teaming Rock. It looked as though there was no end in sight for the beating Rock was receiving at the hands of Christian and Jericho. Then Booker T came down to make the save. After Booker and The Rock cleaned house, The Book coerced The Rock into giving the fans a Rock-a-roony. - Stacy Keibler told test that their relationship was over on RAW, only Test did not agree. Test informed Stacy that she was contractually obligated to work for Test, even though she wanted to manage Scott Steiner. It appeared as though Stacy was in a pickle. Then Co-General Manager Eric Bischoff came out to the ring with a resolution -- Test will battle Steiner at Bad Blood with the winner receiving Stacy's services. - Match Results: * Ivory, Trish & Jackie defeated Jazz, Victoria & Molly when Ivory pinned WWE Women's Champion Jazz. * Scott Steiner defeated Steven Richards via pinfall. * Rene Dupree defeated Kane via pinfall. * Booker T & Goldust defeated Christian & Chris Jericho when Booker pinned Intercontinental Champion Christian. * Randy Orton, Triple H & Ric Flair defeated Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash & The Hurricanemoreless

Goldberg made a resounding impact in his brief appearance. While The Rock was in the ring basking in the glow of "Rock Appreciation Night," Goldberg interrupted the party and told the People's Champion, "You're next!" A split second later, The Rock was rolling on the ground after absorbing a crushing spear! The past two days have been a disaster for Stone Cold Steve Austin. Just one day after losing to The Rock at WrestleMania XIX, Stone Cold was delivered a pink slip as RAW opened. RAW General Eric Bischoff, after reviewing some medical reports that showed Stone Cold's neck was in bad shape. Bischoff declared Stone Cold to be too large of a liability and promptly fired him!
