This could very well have been Chris Jericho's last appearance in a WWE ring and if that is true, talk about going out on a low note. Jericho is one of the most important figures in WWE history, but he has been consistently mishandled since his return. He never got a decent run with the World Title, he was always just a placeholder and he never got the respect he deserved.

Raw delivered another boring episode here tonight and I expect the ratings to drop again. There is just no interest in anything they are giving us at this juncture. A Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre tag team is cool, but is that going to make me choose this show over Monday Night Football?moreless
  • In the Main Event, John Cena takes on Nexus in a Gauntlet match.

After a very successful Ppv in Night of Champions, Raw rolls in with the new Wwe champion Randy Orton. It's true that there are Raw shows that are rather uneven, it's not that there are horrible shows, it's

that the shows could be better. However, in my opinion the shows are always good enough to watch which is the main thing.

We start of with a Randy Orton and Sheamus confrontation. This is a great feud so far. Now Randy is back on top as champ. Sheamus begs for his title back. Randy continues his humiliation of Sheamus by tossing him the belt then giving him and Rko. Classic stuff. Pretty fine segment for a show.

Match #1: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre

An ok warmup match for the new Unified Tag Team Champions. The change helps the Smackdown brought which needs new blood to carry the show. Having Cody and Drew as tag champion is a pretty smart idea. They didn't really face strong competition here, but the match was a good warmup for them, and show they are champions.

Match #2: John Morrison vs Chris Jericho

Good match. Chris's contact is gonna be up with the Wwe, and he's gonna go on tour on with Fozzy soon, so it makes sense to have Chris job to Morrison.

Morrison has had a couple impressive outings as of late including the Falls Count anywhere match with Sheamus, so to continue any push he might have, requires him to go over.

Match #3: Daniel Bryan vs Edge

Bryan Danielson makes his Us Title debut. Good match with Miz at ringside making excuses as to why he lost. Later, Bryan is attacked by Miz, so this hot feud will continue for a couple more weeks. Logical booking here. The crowd is into this, and Bryan Danielson going over Miz like he did at Ppv will only help in the long run. Match #4: Diva's Championship: Melina vs Layla

Melina didn't win at the Ppv, so no way she is winning here. Match #5: R-Truth & Eve vs Ted DiBiase & Maryse

Pretty much filler here. Not terrible but standard filler.

Match #6: Gauntlet: John Cena vs Nexus

Not bad for a Main Event. John faces Heath Slater first who actually gives him trouble. He then no sells Michael Tarver, and David Otunga before facing a challenge in Justin Gabriel. Justin gives him a pretty good battle before the obvious finish.

John then says this Nexus has gone on long enough, and he makes a proposition with Wade at Hell in Cell. Basically, a winner control stipulation. John wins and Nexus is gone, he loses and he joins Nexus. Unlike Summerslam, and Night of Champions, this really does sound like the end of angle. Overall, this wasn't a bad show at all following a big Ppv.moreless
