  • Sgt. Slaughter is the guest host as RAW is from Canada.

Not a bad show but not a great show either. You had Slaughter as a guest host this should have been a great show. Alas while it was better than last week's shows with Piven it still wasn't what I would call a great show.

Slaughter as the heel host insulting Canada worked.

    Jericho's early threats on Cena.

The HBK skits with Shawn working as a cook, er Chef. LMAO.

Poor finish. A lot of who cares matches. No real payoff. Crowd was even dead in a couple of areas.

This show started off on the right foot. Crowd was into it, Sgt was as an ass then received the A-Hole chant. As the night wore on though it seemed as if the bookers and writers didn't put much though into finish.

Match #1: Kelly Kelly vs Gail Kim vs Alicia Fox vs Beth Phoenix

Not a bad match. The Divas are entertaining. A bit of an upset with Gail Kim winning.

Match #2: Evan Bourne vs Jack Swagger

    Decent match by both guys.

Match #3: Contract on a Pole Match: Eugene vs The Calgary Kid

Sort of where things started to drop off. Eugene, Nick Dinsmore, is a useless jobber now. The Calgary Kid was at the end revealed to be the Miz.

This wasn't much of a match either. A bit of a dud.

Match #4: The Big Show vs Randy Orton

I have no idea why anyone would book a heel vs. heel match. This match had no real payoff. It might have been better to book a handicap three on one match with Big Show, Orton, and Jericho against Cena.

An ok match but overall not great. Crowd seemed to dose off a bit.

Match #5: MVP vs Chris Masters

Probably the only match that seemed to have longer term results. MVP goes over cleanly over Masters, but Swagger comes in to continue the feud.

Match #6; Hornswoggle & Mark Henry vs Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

Pretty much a dud. I guess you could call this a test for Legacy. The only bright side here is that it wasn't Chavo vs. Hornswoggle. Match #7: John Cena vs Chris Jericho

A decent match. Jericho said he would do something he'd never do which is beat Cena. However, for whatever reason the writers decided to make Jericho not into Canada's hero but a goat. Jericho makes a couple of nasty comments about Canada which clues you into thinking that things won't go well for Jericho.

Lawler keeps on talking about Bizarro World when the fans start to chant for Cena. However, after Jericho's comments I didn't find it bizarre that a couple of fans would find cheer for Cena.

What I did find bizarre was Orton attacking Jericho at the end. This didn't make much sense. Of course it sets an even more awkward match with Cena and Orton as tag partner next week.

All in all this was a better RAW than last week's but still a bit off.
