    6.9
    WWE Tag Team Championship

John Morrison & The Miz vs. Jesse & Festus vs. Curt Hawkins & Zach Ryder vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle

This was a pretty fun opener, which started out well and never really slowed down. Some innovative tagging, which made it more fun to watch. I was disappointed though when the match ended out of nowhere less than 10 minutes into it.

Winners & NEW Tag Team Champions: Hawkins & Ryder

    Match Rating: 6/10

    United States Championship

    Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin

I really liked this match. It started out with some solid wrestling, then it started to pick up some steam. I liked how you really couldn't tell who had the upper hand. The finish was out of nowhere as well, when Hardy missed a moonsault, Benjamin hits the Pay Dirt for the win.

Winner & NEW United States Champion: Shelton Benjamin

    Match Rating: 7/10

    ECW World Championship

    Mark Henry vs. Tommy Dreamer

I was disappointed here. Henry dominated most of the match, with Dreamer making a comeback, which was cut short when Colin Delaney turned on him, costing him the belt.

Winner & Still ECW Champion: Mark Henry

    Match Rating: 4/10

    Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho

This was a very different match then what they have done in the past. Instead of having a technical classic, they had more of a brawl. There was some very nice action until Jericho elbowed Michaels in the eye, drawing a lot of blood. From these Jericho pretty much just beat up Michaels face for 5 minutes until the ref stopped the match. They tried something new here, and it worked pretty well

Winner by referee stoppage: Chris Jericho

    Match Rating: 7/10

    Diva's Championship

    Michelle McCool vs. Natalya

Not a bad match at all. These two really tried hard to put on a good match. The crowd wasn't very into it, but they put on a solid match none the less. A few nice submission moves from both women, until Michelle made Natalya tap to a heel hook.

Winner & NEW Divas Champion: Michelle McCool

    Match Rating: 6/10

    World Heavyweight Championship

    CM Punk vs. Batista

I really liked this one. They started by getting a feel for each other, then started to pick up the pace with some high impact moves. Everything was going very well until an abrupt ending when Kane interfered and took both men out. I really don't think that was necessary, as Kane never really had a feud with either man after this one. Good match with a week finish

Winner: No Conest But Still World Champion: CM Punk

    Match Rating: 7/10

    Parking Lot Brawl

    JBL vs. John Cena

Not as good as I was hoping for. There was no crowd noise or announcing, which really made it dull. The camera cuts made it seem like corny action scenes in movies. The action wasn't bad, but the environment just didn't entertain me. In the later of the match, the make their way to the arena, where JBL reverses an F-U, and throws Cena through a windshield off the stage, which was pretty cool. They should have just had a weapons match

    Winner: JBL

    Match Rating: 5/10

    WWE Championship

    Triple H vs. Edge

I felt that the match was sort of brought down by the soap opera going on between Edge and Vickie. I think the storyline is pathetic and a poor way to advertise the late Eddie Guerrero's wife. Besides that these two have a very solid back and forth contest, that was marred by some lame interference from Vickie and that wedding planner. The match itself is very solid as a whole, and worth the watch, but it should have stayed clean the whole way through

Winner & Still WWE Champion: Triple H

    Match Rating: 7/10

Overall I think the Great American Bash was a solid & respectable pay per view, and I think it was worth the $15. Sure it had some low points (Dreamer vs Henry, JBL vs Cena), but the high points (Jericho vs Michaels, CM Punk vs Batista, & Benjamin vs. Hardy), make it all worth it.moreless
  • The great american bash was live at long island, new york and from the start i knew this was going to suck. I am now posting this because the ppv just now finished. There were 8 matches in total and these are the matches. 1. fatal four way 2moreless

    5.0
    1. fatal four way- 1.5/5 slow and boring because there was no good tag team wrestling. Hawkins and ryder won by knocking jesse off the top rope onto his back

    2. hardy vs benjamin- 2/5 started off good but slowed down and hardy did not bring his a-game. shelton won with that new sto thing.

    3. ecw title- 0/5 omg this sucked henry was beating dreamer up throughout the whole match and guess what? colin delany turns on tommy by ringing his arm on the ropes. henry wins with the worlds strongest slam.

    4. y2j vs hbk-3/5 a lot of physicality but they stopped the match due to blood loss.

    5. divas title- idc for this one but michelle won by making natalia tap to a leg lock.

Note: after the match y2j announces hbk tore his retania and he will never wreslte again.

    6. c.m. punk vs batista-3.5/5 this match was really good. Both guys made each other look really good. A lot of mauy ti kicks by c.m. punk and a lot of power displayed by batista. But guess what? Kane comes and ruins the match by running batistas head into the poll and he chokeslammed c.m. punk. Punk wins by disqualification. C.m. punk raises the title but batista gets pissed and batista bombs him.

    7. John Cena vs Jbl in a parking lot brawl. 3.5/5 Jbl comes to the parking lot brawl and he's ready to fight because he was taking off his suit. He had a pipe thingy in his hand and was saying '' where's CENA?'' Cena tries to run jbl over and its on! cena beats up jbl throughout the parking lot and has an electric cord and it was funny when cena rammed jbl's head through the glass, opened up the hood, and electricuted jbl's nuts. Jbl of course eventually retaliates when shots to the head and busting cena's head through multiple car windows. Jbl then gets cena in a car and douses it on fire! Cena escpes though and beats up jbl and throws him in a car. Cena then operates the fork lift and pierces the car that has jbl in it and carries it to the stage. Cena and jbl are now fighting by the stage and cena does his spin out powerslam and performs the five knukkle shuffle. Cena tries to f-u jbl off the stage onto the car, but jbl counters and throws cena off the stage through the car. Jbl scores the successful pinfall and both men are cut up. Cena gets a standing ovation. 8. Triple H vs Edge for the wwe title. 2/5 This match wasn't what i ahd expected. The bell rings and edge starts to maul triple h with right hands and dropkicks. it gets only more boring because edge has a body sciorrs for a long time but hhh battles back only to get knocked down again. Not many things to say but at the end the lady edge made out with comes to the bell table and grabs the wwe belt. she tosses it to Edge but vickie comes and closelines her. They eventually have a cat fight in the ring and edge spears vickie by mistake. Edge is distracted and gets pedigreed for the 1,2,3. I knew this ppv would totally suck and I ordered it anyways because i was bored and its my summer break. But if i were you i hope you did not order the ppv because it was not that great. But thats just my opinion.moreless
