The 1992 Royal Rumble match was considered one of the most star-studded matches in the history of the promotion, seeing as how almost everyone in the ring was at their peak while under employment for the World Wrestling Federation.
The commentary and crowd reaction for the Rumble match in both the DVD and original broadcasting are completely different from one another.
When Hogan was eliminated by Sid, Gorilla Monsoon called it "a miscarriage of justice" with the fans booing in the background, which followed by even bigger boos when Flair eliminated Sid, thus winning the WWF title while Monsoon berated Flair. While Hogan and Sid, the fans cheered when Hogan did his trademark "hand to ear" pose.
That wasn't the case in the original broadcast.
The Albany crowd were actually cheering Sid when he eliminated Hogan while Monsoon was surprised, which followed by even bigger cheers when Ric Flair won the title and Gorilla Monsoon complimenting Flair's well deserved victory. Also, when Hogan did his trademark "hand to ear" pose, you can clearly hear boos coming from the crowd.
Ric Flair won the Royal Rumble, along with the WWF title after entering at No. 3
This makes Ric Flair one of six men to win the Royal Rumble match at the single digit mark.
Prior to this Royal Rumble match, no one who drew No. 1 to No. 5 has ever won.
