A dropkick to Booker T by Rey Mysterio was preformed in this match while Booker T was hold a chair. From the move, Mysterio could of Broken his Ankle, would of landed right on his back which could of causes back spasms, and Booker T could of got hit in the head on a certain angle and got seriously injured or died.

The theme for Backlash 2006 is "Baby Hates Me" by Danko Jones (from their album 'Sleep is the Enemy').

Only three titles were not defended at WrestleMania 22. They were the Intercontintental Championship (Shelton Benjamin), The WWE Tag Team Championships (MNM), and the Cruiserweight Championship (Gregory Helms).

This was Matt Hardy's fourth Ladder Match at WrestleMania.

This marks the second time Shelton Benjamin ran up a ladder. Last year to clothesline Chris Jericho, and this year to somersault senton Bobby Lashley, Rob Van Dam, and Matt Hardy.

This was the first meeting of Triple H and John Cena

In the only two times someone has won a championship title match via submission, it was Triple H who tapped out both times.

Werstlemania 22 marked the second time Shelton Benjamin came into the Money In The Bank Ladder Match as the WWE Intercontinental Champion, but he never succeded at the MITB matches (last year, Edge won; this year, Rob Van Dam won).

Shawn Michaels and Triple H did Crotch Chops like they did during their Degeneration X era (which led to fans about speculations of a DX reuniting). Shawn did it during his fight against Vince McMahon and Triple H did it against John Cena.

WrestleMania 22 was the second WrestleMania in which the main event ended via submission, after WrestleMania XX. In both cases, Triple H was the wrestler who submitted (2004, to Chris Benoit, Benoit winning the World Heavyweight Championship; 2006 to John Cena, who retained the WWE Championship).

At Wrestlemania 22, Rey Mysterio became the Lighest champion (c. 165 lb) and smallest champion (5 ft 4 in) to portray a World Heavyweight Title.

The Undertaker is now 14-0 (win-loss) at Wrestlemania

The former World Heavyweight Champion Batista (who is still sidelined due to an injury at the hands of Mark Henry earlier this year) made a special guest appearance, speaking about the return he will be making to the WWE ring after he's done with his rehab, letting the crowd know that when he does return, he'll be seeking to get 'his' title back.

This also makes Rey Mysterio the sixth man to win the Royal Rumble match at the single digit mark
