  • Favorite X-Men: Evolution Episode!

    10
I love love love the fact that they finally had an episode that showed the relationship between Rogue and Gambit. They drew Gambit really cool too. The fact that he had the short hair was a big changed compared to his usual look but he still looked awesome. He's my favorite Marvel character. He's real clever getting Rogue away from the X-Men the way he did. Rogue is so hard headed at times it's nice that she decided not to kill him in the end. She started liking him since they're first meeting so I think their bond only grew stronger here.moreless
  • Gambit's my favorite X-Man, and yet I found it hard to care. What did this have to do with anything?

    7.5
There's an episode of the original X-Men series from the 90s called X-Treme Measures (not to be confused with the Evolution episode of the same name) from Season 2 that follows Gambit back to Louisiana to deal with the Assassin's Guild, and his scoundrel past.

This is almost exactly the same plot (there are some obvious differences, like instead of his brother being held hostage it's his father, but mostly this is the same damn thing). It gave the show a chance for Gambit and Rogue to spend time together, (Mardi Gras?) and sheds a little light on Gambit's history, but unfortuantely Caijun spice sufferes from 2 problems:

    1. Gambit hasn't been around long enough, and isn't a prominent enough character on Evolution to warrant getting an entire episode dedicated to him. 2. The Episode itself isn't very interesting. Especially if nothing is going to happen between he and Rogue. What was the point?moreless
  • Rogue and Gambit together. What Cajun and the Queen of Hearts fan wasnt waiting for this. Gambit just made the episode better when he gave her the Queen of Hearts at the end. This episode did them Justice!!!moreless

A episode centered in Gambit. I was hyped about it Rogue and Gambit together. What Cajun and the Queen of Hearts fan wasnt waiting for this. Great Scene in the train with these two. And talk about Mardi Gra with the Cajun himself. Gambit just made the episode better when he gave her the Queen of Hearts at the end. This episode did them Justice!!!

Well i gotta keep taliking here cause i havent reach the 100 words yet so ive been blabing all along but... this is how ill finish this 100 words thingy I Love Gambit and Rouge They are The Best.moreless
  • Finally, a Gambit centric episode. His relationship with Rogue is developed here, and it results in a superb episode.

    9.2
The show finally delivers a full Gambit centric episode, after he was portrayed as a background character for so many episodes. Not only that, but having his and Rogue's relationship developed even further was a nice touch. It was obvious they were attracted to each other ever since they first meet, but only now their relationship is explained further. Better late than never, I guess.

The episode is good, featuring a lot of action scenes and of course a little romance. And comedy as well. Gambit's background isn't completely explained here, but since he was given only one episode, it was the best they could do. Overall a great, enjoyable episode. Even if you're not a fan of the Gambit/Rogue pairing, you can still enjoy the episode. And if you are a fan of the Gambit/Rogue pairing, you'll enjoy it even more.moreless
  • Great Episode!! Exactly why I watch the show!!

    9.0
Great idea Gumbo, the way to inlist her help by knocking her unconcoious, kidnapping her, tying her up, lie, then ask for her help. The way to a gals heart. For a smart guy his idea was pretty dang stupid. Men, are they all that dumb,I really hope they aren't. So its about time my favorite Ragin' Cajun gets his own episode with the southern belle. My absolute favorite X-men copule.

I liked this ep, alot, but weren't they the Assians Guild, and not the Rippers. Either way, I loved this one cause it had my fav x-men in it, but I found alot of little mistakes. Like the chair Jean-Luc was tied to was diffrent the first time it was seen. Still, wacthing Gambit and Rogue not get along is one of my favorite things to do. Love/hate relationship. He loves himself, she hates that.

I only wish he joined the team in the end, oh well. I'm also glade Rogue didn't just fall right into his arms. I'm also surpiresed Wolverine didn't chop him up into little cajun peices. I wanna see more Gumbo and Rogue!!moreless

  • TRIVIA (8)

    • When Rogue pulls Gambit in from the train, she has his staff. However, when Gambit pulls off her glove, the staff disappears.

    • When Logan cuts Pyro's gas pack and throws him to the wall, you can see Pyro has his tubes on his arms that connect to his pack. However, when Logan throws Pyro back into his chair, his tubes disappear.

    • After Rogue absorbs Gambit, she pulls him up by his trench coat to yell at him. When she does this, her glove disappears. When she shoves him back against the ground, it reappears.

    • How did Rogue absorb the two guys just after Gambit rescued his dad? The guy with the gun was wearing a long sleeve and a high collar.

    • When Gambit and Rogue get to the dock, Rogue is next to a rope. When it shows Gambit climb up, the rope is gone.

    • When Gambit sees Cyclops on the street, he pulls Rogue away. But Remy's fingers touch her bare shoulders, and she didn't absorb him.

    • After the X-Men left in the X-Jet and the scene goes to the train, Rogue asks how he knew that she was ready to leave. But when they first show Rogue and Gambit on the train, the first thing Remy says is he's been watching Rogue for weeks. Since she knew he was watching her, why did she ask how he knew she was ready to leave?

    • In the scene where Jamie is picking books from a shelf in the library, he is shown walking towards a single red chair, with no other chairs on either side, to sit down. But, when the scene switches to the one where he sends two multiples out to read the books, there are two more chairs on either side of the chair the original Jamie is sitting in, and they are all blue!

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Rogue: What is it with you and cards?
Gambit: Well, it's like having fifty-two explosives tucked away in one little pocket.

    • Pyro: Okay, take care, so long. Don't get all weepy on me. Let's not drag this out or anything. Ugh. Ah I know just how to turn this frown upside down.

    • Gambit: I've been watching you for weeks Rogue, you're such an unhappy girl.

    • Rogue: I don't know what made me do that to Mystique.
Kurt: It's pretty clear Rogue. There's only one reason to push someone off a cliff.

    • Rogue: What is it with you and cards anyway?
Gambit: Well, it's like having fifty-two explosives tucked in one little pocket. (Holding up a card) I always save her for last.
      Rogue: The Queen of Hearts?
Gambit: (Kisses the card) My lucky lady. She's gotten me out of a whole lot of jams.
Rogue: Then, I need a deck of those.

    • Pyro: Since Magneto's gone, Colossus bailed and went back to Russia, Sabertooth's out playing with a big ball of yarn somewhere, and Gambit didn't leave a note on the fridge.
