  • My other favorite character, Rogue is introduced.

The best thing about this episode, was that this is the first time you could say that the X-Men "lost". Thanks to Mystique's shape-shifting abilities, The Rogue is confused about who are her friends or enemies, a nice device to keep her on neutral ground between the Brotherhood and the X-Men. I liked the "on the run" aspect, because Rogue's powers really are quite scary. Also appearing in this episode is Destiny, a blind woman who can see the future. Rogue's character design (goth punk) is genius for what this show is trying to be, and how different and modern they are trying to make it. Her southern accent, however, sounds obviously fake.moreless

  • And here comes the Rouge...

    "Perfect"
This episode gets 10 from me, like everyone that has Rogue in the main plot. Why? Cause Rogue is not an average X-men (like she's not in comics or TAS) and she's not all bright and shiney. I love the way EVO Rogue looks. She wears the best outfits in show. Also, her make-up. Totally great.
So, main plot of this episode is, logicly, about Rogue. When Destiny realises Rogue got her powers she contacts "the proud Mommy" - Mystique, and Mysty the Dearest freaks Rogue so much that she refuses to go with X-men. How clever, ha? Though, I kinda felt sorry for her. Mystique really has some issues.
I also like that we got to see Cody, and I liked the way they showed how this popular guy fall for this "weird" girl. That was kinda cute.moreless

  • They stay true to the characters and the original situations in so many ways while at the same time bringing them all up to the present and giving it all a new twist.moreless

I really love this series. They're doing a great job. They stay true to the characters and the original situations in so many ways while at the same time bringing them all up to the present and giving it all a new twist. Rogue was never one of my favorite characters in the comics, but I really like the Rogue shown here. All of the characters are really brought down to a basic level and now they're building on them from there without all of the baggage the comic characters have. Also, could be mistaken, but there seems to be some interest going on between Kurt and Kit, especially on Kurt's part. I'd never think that the comic Kurt and Kitty could get together, but the two cartoon characters are so cute together. At the same time though they showed Kitty as having maybe a growing crush on Scott. Something to watch out for.moreless

  • One of the most exciting X-Man from the comics is introduced in this episode.

    "Superb"
Rogue makes her debut in this great episode. This version of the Rogue is based on her original appearance from the comics. Also, in this animated continuity, she never absorbed Mrs. Marvel's powers, and her only mutant power being the ability to temporarly absorb anyone's powers who she touches.
Don't forget Mystique and Destiny mention they "have plans for her", plans that will be revealed later on in the series, about the same time "the Apocalypse saga" will start.moreless
