Dojo Kanojo Cho
Master Fung (Season 2+)
Why did Wuya say that Jack lost nine shen gon wu when only eight were wagered?
(Reply- Because the four that were wagered by each contester, and the one that was lost)
Why does Jack seems so surprised when he's inside Omi's head and finds out a squirrel, when he apparently knows that putting a squirrel in Omi's hand when he's raiding the temple in "Shard of Lightning" would freak out Omi?
How could Jack be calling the Xiaolin Showdown rules if he isn't part of it?
Throughtout the episode, Jack Spicer has been pushing or pulling Wuya away from the camera when the camera-bots are filming. But this is impossible, since Wuya is not solid.
The Shroud of Shadows doesn't fit around Kimiko's sumo body in this episode, but in Mala Mala Jong and Enter the Dragon, it covered objects and people much larger.
The Serpent's Tail was in the bag Omi and Jack showdowned over. So, how can it be that Jack still has it if he didn't take it from the Temple?
Wuya: You and your directing! NINE! We lost nine Shen Gong Wu!
Jack: The camera stays on ME!
Jack: (whispering) When hunting the elusive Wu, you have to move as quiet as a cat. (trips) OW! OW! OW! OOH THAT HURT!
(After Jack uses the Shadow of Fear)
Omi: I will not fear, I will not fear! I will not ... stay here!!
(In Omi's dream)
Omi: I'll name streets after Omi, and build statues of Omi, and tell all my friends the day that I met Omi.
Jack: I should have known. The kid is as boring in dreams as he is in real life.
Jack: Hey, no fair! Where does it say they can switch? I hate it when actors improvise!
Wuya: (to Jack) Just do it! I don't have all eternity! Well, I do, but I don't want to spend it with you.
Wuya: Less talk and more Shen-Gong-Wu!
Jack: Yeah, yeah. Don't rush me! I'm an artiste. I'm temperamental.
Jack: (to Omi) This is your worst nightmare? You're more pathetic than me!
Jack: (about Omi) Three down, one cue-ball to go!
Raimundo: Everybody ready to go kick some Jack Spicer butt?!
Clay: Does a bull like to snort?
Kimiko: Yeah ... I couldn't have put it better myself.
This is the second time a Xiaolin Showdown takes place in outer space. The first time was in My Homey Omi.
This episode was nominated for the 2005 Golden Reel Award for "Best Sound Editing in Television Animation".
Running Gag: Wuya getting between Jack and the camera and Jack pushing her away.
Shadow of Fear: Found on a log in a river near a waterfall, surrounded by other logs.
Crouching Cougar: Found sitting at the top of a large mesa.
This marks the first time Kimiko and Clay have been in a special Xiaolin Showdown.
Apparently a showdown can not only alter the landscape, but a person's body as well. This was apparent when the Warriors and their fears swelled up to fit the sumo match.
The Warriors now have the Shadow of Fear, Crouching Cougar, Fist of Tebigong, Eye of Dashi, Third Arm Sash, and the Serpent's Tail. Jack now has the Heart of Jong, Monkey Staff, and the Tangle Web Comb.
Showdown: Warriors vs. Their Greatest Fears - Free-for-all sumo match, face-to-face with your own worst fear. First one to leave the ring loses. Omi's Two Ton Tunic against Miniko's Serpent's Tail; Kimiko's Shroud of Shadows against Lil' Chica's Eye of Dashi; Clay's Lotus Twister against Granny Lily's Fist of Tebigong; Raimundo's Silk Spinner against Morphed Sea Creature's Third Arm Sash; all for the Crouching Cougar.
This marks the first time we see an 8-way showdown. Four against four, each wagering one Shen-Gong-Wu.
Greatest fears: Kimiko - Lil' Chica doll, Clay - Granny Lily, Raimundo - Morphed sea creature, Omi - Miniko the evil squirrel, Jack - Getting flushed down the toilet.
Clay reveals that he is camera shy.
Kimiko's hairstyle: Black in two little buns with a single pink ribbon hanging from each bun.
Featured Shen-Gong-Wu: Shadow of Fear, Crouching Cougar. The Shadow of Fear enters your opponent's mind and releases their worst fear.
Introductions: Camera-bots. They document Jack's life and how he fights against the Xiaolin Warriors.
In Omi's mind, his self image has long black hair.
This is at least the third time Omi had to deal with squirrels (the other two being Mala Mala Jong and The Shard of Lightning episodes). This is possibly why Omi is so afraid of squirrels.
The Crouching Cougar is the second vehicle Shen-Gong-Wu that the Warriors have found. This could possibly mean that a racing showdown will happen in the future.
Dreamscape is also a title on American Dragon Jake Long and also deals with nightmares and dreams.
When Omi sees the Master Fung vision it is very similar to Star Wars when Obe Wan tells Luke to use the force.
The Shen Gong Wu called the Shadow of Fear is based off the movie Shadow of Fear.
The movie Jack was filming was called 'SpicerWorld' this is obviously a runoff of the movie SpiceWorld, with the spice girls.
The whole idea of this episode is based of the quote by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, "There is nothing to fear, but fear itself."
