So the monks go to a volcano to get a shen gong wu called the Black Dragon. Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Omi try to retrieve it as well as Jack Spicer. Dojo tries to stop Jack, but fails miserably. Dojo is belittled by his weakness. Jack ends up facing Omi in a Xiaolin Showdown that Omi ends up winning. They bring the Black Dragon back to the temple to learn that it wasn't of a known sgw. Kimiko turns into sapphire followed by Clay and Raimundo, Omi and Dojo discover that the sgw was actually the Sapphire Dragon. They go to tell Master Fung and the monks, but they've all joined Clay and Kimiko. The dragon appears and attacks them. Raimundo and Omi end up being turned into sapphire and they all become the Sapphire Dragon's slaves. I couldn't believe how dark this episode was! I liked it, but I thought it was dark and creepy for children of 10 or younger. Oh well. I liked the episode. It was funny, and suspensful. I wished there was more of Jack and Wuya, because that would have been hilarious, but it's alright. The Shen Gong Wu that was discovered in this episode had the ability to turn people into sapphire. When everyone in the temple is turned to sapphire, it is up to Dojo to recapture the dragon and turn everyone back to normal. He manages to do this because he discovers soot is the dragon's weakness.moreless
So basically Dojo gets his episode. Well basically everyone thinks of him just as a free ride who cannot do any fighting. After winning other showdown and getting the Shappire Dragon, Kimiko turns to shappire. Then so does Clay. The others realize it was the Dragon's doing but it was too late as Master Fung and Raimundo turn to sapphire. After Omi gets his turn to fight the dragon and almost wins, Dojo is the only one left. In addition to that, all the Dragon's victims turn into zombies and try to attack him. Dojo drinks some of Clay's hot sauce and breathes fire destorying the dragon. In the end everything works out. I thought this episode was good and could've been better, but it was basically centered around Dojo so it was ok. That's my review.moreless
this is one of the best episodes of xiaolin showdown and one of my personal favorites if not my fave its exciting to see an episode about dojo for once. i think this episode is so funny the whole western theme when dojo goes to fight the dragon. i loved at the end dojo suggesting he should be a dragon warrior. i like see him and clay togther they are just so cute. its nice to see dojo finally be able to truely breathe fire it gives dojo a since of pride.about himself. the only complaint and it is a slight complaint is we did see a lot of jack. this was a very exciting!moreless
The Xiaolin Warriors uncover a mysterious Shen-Gong-Wu that holds a secret power: Once unleashed, it takes the form of a dragon and turns anybody it comes across into a sapphire statue but in other words This episode is about a sapphire dragon that is shen-Gong-Wu and that is alive and turns people into sapphire zombie like minions for him. It all rests on Dojo to stop the Sapphire Dragon for everyone else has been turned to sapphire. My favorite part of this episode is when the sapphire dragon starts to make sapphire like statues out of the humans. I hope you liked this episode very much.moreless
Kimiko's outfit: A black and white short-sleeved turtleneck shirt with a flower in the middle, greenish blonde skirt with a red belt, red/orange/brown socks and red/white shoes.
Kimiko's hairstyle: Greenish blonde in two little buns.
Edit
In this episode, Dojo says he does not possess the power to breathe fire. However, in A Journey of a Thousand Miles, he clearly breathes fire when Raimundo calls him a gecko.
Edit
After Jack appears and says, "Last one in is a rotten egg," there is a string of toilet paper on his foot. The toilet paper disappears after Omi dives into the volcano.
Edit
Omi: Still skating the world-wide webbing, Kimiko?
Kimiko: Surfing the world-wide web.
Edit
Clay: Dojo, why are you acting jumpier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs?
Dojo: Because Raimundo's right. When it comes to fighting, I'll all soot and no sizzle.
Edit
Omi: (with the Shen Gong Wu still in his mouth) Ha ha, Jack Spicer! Today…
Kimiko: Hold on! (pulls Shen Gong Wu out of his mouth)Edit
Title: Night of the Sapphire Dragon: This is a parody of Night of the Living Dead, as evidenced by the zombies.
Edit
Dojo: Listen up, partner.. The last few minutes of this episode are an obvious tribute to old "spaghetti western" movies, with Dojo walking around in a cowboy hat and doing an impression of actor, John Wayne.
