The episode starts off with the monks fighting Jack... blah blah blah.. Jack loses... Then, a message from the future (by Old Omi) warns the monks and imforms them of a time-traveling shen-gong-wu. It's a race between good and evil. The monks travel the world to find it (albeit before it's even revealed) but fail. However, when it does reveal itself Dojo is too tired to fly and Jack beats them to it (of all places, it's on the grounds of the Xiaolin Temple!). Jack manages to travel though time and bring back some of history's worst bad guys (including his 1st grade teacher, and Old Jack!). Old Jack remembers where many of the shen gong wu would be revealed, and the bad guys beat the monks to the Sweet Baby Among Us. However, they figure out about Old Jack and race to beat them to the Ruby of Ramses. Losing, Omi sneaks off, takes the Sands of Time, and brings back Old Omi. Then, Omi and Old Omi beat Jack and Old Jack in a Xiaolin Showdown, and Old Omi returns to the future with the Sands of Time.moreless

Now this episode was cleverly plotted I may say and that is why I like this episode.moreless

  • Old Omi is nimble and wise, but old Jack is clumsy and feeble.

I told you I disliked episodes with a Shen Gong Wu as the main character, if you get my meaning. Yet the Sands Of Time was done so well I did feel almost as if the Sands of Time was a living creature, capable of independent thought. As usual, an Omi episode and if the writers were creative enough they might do another character. However, old Omi would have been the most interesting of the four. Old Jack was so stupid I take pity on him, yet the writer managed to weave him into the tale all so well that I feel it would not be complete without any of them.moreless

  • Another cool episode featuring Omi. This young monk has certainly shown quite a great deal of skill and power. This time, we get to see the old version of him. How cool!!!moreless

The show starts off with the monks battling out with Jacks new cheer-leader bot. They win, but suddenly a huge thing from the sky came crashing. An old version of Omi tells them that they must find the Sands Of Time before the sands themselves run out(whatever that means). Omi pushed the warriors so hard. However when they found the Shen Gong Wu, they quickly find out it was a fake. They returned to the temple only to find out that Jack Spicer has the Sands Of Time. He goes to the past and calls back many bad people to the future. The Warriors immediately overwhelm Jack's new partners. But, Jack went to the future to get future Jack since he can locate every Shen Gong Wu before they reveal themselves. At last, it was a tie as Omi calls forth him from the future. Both of them challenges the Spicer's to a Xiaolin Showdown Tsunami. The Omi's win and eventually future Omi went back to the future to hide the Sands Of Time, never to be found again.moreless

    • The scene where Jack is run over by Attila and his men, is similar to the scene on the Anime FLCL were Haruko runs over Naota with her Vespa. Edit
    • When Dojo couldn't fly back to the temple, why couldn't they use the Silver Manta-Ray? Edit
    • When Omi sees his future self in "Crystal Glasses" he looks like Dashi, and is taller than he normally is. But his future self is the same size as him. Did he shrink? Even if Vlad used the reversing mirror, it reversed his side of good to evil. Did it also reverse his look? Edit

    • Director: Who ... are ... you people?
The way the director of the "Sands of Time" speaks is a spoof off of William Shatner, who makes dramatic pauses known as the "Shatnerian." Edit
    • Reference: Billy the Kid Billy the Kid was an outlaw named William H. Bonney. The nickname Billy the Kid came from his making a reputation as a vicious outlaw and killer at a very young age. According to historical records, he was fatally shot in the back by Sheriff Pat Garrett, a former friend, however there is evidence to suggest that Garrett may have actually helped Billy fake his death and escape. Years later, a man calling himslef Bill Roberts turned himself in claiming to be Billy the Kid. He died of natural causes before his claim could be verified. Edit
    • Reference: Blackbeard the Pirate Blackbeard is the most famous of all pirates. No one did more to create the image of a pirate as Edward Teach, popularly known as Blackbeard. A privateer who became a cut-throat pirate, Teach realized above all that terror was the pirate's chief weapon, so he made his appearance as terrifying as possible. Edit
