The outside of the bar and grill where the gang eat at has a storefront sign that reads "Blue Lou's" (a place that really exists). Meanwhile, the cover of the menus they're using inside the restaurant read "Earl's."

Greg:...Jimmy, you sure you don't want to go?
Jimmy: I. hate. jazz.
Greg: Fine. I'm kinda glad that I'm gonna have an empty seat beside me, and give me some--some place to put my picnic basket. That's right, Jimmy. I said picnic basket.
Jimmy: Greg, I'm not Yogi Bear.
Jimmy: What were you thinking getting an earring?
Greg: Hey, easy. You're starting to sound like my mother.
Jimmy: Yeah, well, you're starting to look like mine.
Jimmy: Uh, no, I just, I got caught up at home. I--I had to take a second shower... I have a glandular problem.
Tim: It's okay.
Jimmy: Well, just keep that in mind in case we ever go speed walking together, because I leave a trail like a freakin' slug.
Jimmy: Oh, man. It's--it's too sad. He had to put an ad in a newspaper to find a friend, he still gets rejected. I feel horrible. I'm going over there.
Kim: You're gonna be his friend?
Jimmy: Yeah, like I want a friend who wasn't good enough for Greg.
Christine: Well, the difference is, you need a friend.
Greg: Yeah, that guy looks kinda nerdy.
Jimmy: Well, he's not just any nerd, Greg, he's your soulnerd.
Kim: Jeff Richman? You haven't talked to him in years.
Greg: I know, but we were pretty close in the mid-'90s.
Christine: Greg, a lot's changed since then. I mean, Roy and that tiger -- they were very close in the mid-'90s.
Christine: Hey, how are you guys doing?
Logan: Daddy's teaching us craps.
Jimmy: What? You told me to play a game with them.
Kim: Yeah, like Candy Land or Chutes and Ladders.
Jimmy: Yeah, but they're only going to outgrow those. I mean, I'm teaching them a game that they'll play their whole lives.
