AIRED:
Camp Magic Pants: Pranks are the latest youth craze, and Yin and Yang are no different. After they prank Master Yo, he is more than eager to let a mysterious stranger take them away to Camp Magic Pants. There they meet the Chosen One, Terry Otter, and begin their magical training. However, a prank war unfolds, and Yin begins to become corrupted by the naughtiness around her. Will she come back to the light, or will she be naughty for good? Worked Stiff: Yang wants to buy a cool new set of sneakers, but he has no money. The solution shows itself in an ad for Magnatopia, which boasts that he can get the, "Funnest job ever" there! Yang, of course, jumps at the chance to get paid to spend a week at an amusement park. And of course, it turns out to not be as fun as it is advertised, and it actually turns out to be a trap! • The one wherein the characters meet "The Chosen One" (sort of!) and Yang does the right thing without anybody telling him to! :D

Yin and Yang love to play tricks on Master Yo, but when they get a free trip to Camp Magic Pants to learn magic for good purposes, will they stop pulling pranks on each other? :P Yeah right! That won't be happening especially when Yin meets Terry Otter, "The Chosen One," and gives into her naughty side, becoming viciously evil again! As it turns out, this is all part of someone's evil plan! And when Yin touches the Golden Magic Pants (in the ankle area!) she loses her naughtyness and Yuck reveals himself back in his original form and informs Yin that Terry Otter helped Yuck trick Yin in order to make her naughty enough to power up the Magic Pants to be evil! Thankfully, Yin and Yang manage to stop the Magic Pants and Yuck thanks to the power of: Disco Music! This stuff, writers just can't make up this stuff! And Yang wants to buy a popular new set of sneakers, only they are expensive to buy! Fortunately, the answer for Yang is at: "The Funnest Job" ever! And its in MagnatopiaLand! Of course, when Yang has to be Blue Bunny Dang and not being able to eat, ride the attractions, or hit rude kids while he's on duty, Yang has a tough time having fun. But Yang is determined to last until pay-day. Unfortunately, its only then Yang discovers that the whole candidate job search was just a setup for Smoke and Mirrors now working together to collect new Forever Friends! In a sign of growing maturity, Yang does the right thing without having anybody telling him to do it, and defends his fellow co-worker, the Squid Kid! And Yang easily beats the villainess Smoke, but Mirrors escapes vowing to never give Yang his pay-check. But acts of kindness are not overlooked by Master Yo, as he gives the money earned by Yin's smile-powered car to Yang so that he can finally buy those sneakers! It just goes to show that kindness has its own rewards! That's why I like this show. Enough said! ;)moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • It's discovered in this episode that apparently, Magnatopialand is run by Smoke and Mirrors. Considering the two parody other anime characters, it's kind of fitting.

    • It's revealed in this episode that Master Yo personally knew Master Tai and Master Chi as they were Yo's masters while he was just a toddler (before Master's Tai and Chi got destroyed by Eradicus.)

    • Running jokes in this episode:
      1. Terry Otter continually mentions how he is: "The Chosen One." 2. Yin continually uses her magic for naughty purposes. 3. Mirrors continually tells Yang and the other MagnatopiaLand employees over a loudspeaker that they're not allowed to do certain things.

    • Worked Stiff marks the first time that Smoke and Mirrors have worked together in trying to defeat a common enemy.

    • Yuck returns to his original form in this episode.

    • In Imperfect Fooplicates, Yuck became muscular. Yet in this episode, Yuck appeared without any muscles without any explanation as to what happened to his muscles.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Master Yo: Yin! As the ancient Woo Foo Scrolls say, "You can go from good to naughty, without thinking or a lot of thought--y." (Yin gives Master Yo a look) They can't all be gems!

    • (Yang kicks the Squid Kid off the podium)
Yang: Hey! Nobody hurts the Squid Kid!
Freelance Conscience: But you did, just now.
      Squid Kid: I'm okay!
Yang: And shoes or no shoes, I'm not going to put up with this job any longer! (Takes off his Dang head costume)
Smoke: (to Mirrors) What?! You hired our mortally hated enemy Yang into Magnatopialand where he has been with all us all week long?! How is it that he could've stayed so cleverly disguised in only a slightly larger version of his own rabbit head?!
      Yang: Uh...maybe it's because you're an idiot?
Smoke: (screams) YOU'RE THE IDIOT!!!! (Hits Yang against a wall)
Yang: I am NEVER going to do the right thing out loud again!

    • (Yang is in the Ninja Robot Pirate Monkey Arena and he sees Smoke and Mirrors)
Yang: What? Smoke and Mirrors are behind this? Oh man! I should've realized that when I heard Mirrors voice--(slaps himself when he realizes how long he has heard it) ALL WEEK LONG!!!!

    • Mirrors: (over loud-speaker) Hello, new candidate! Are you here for the employment?
Yang: You mean the enjoyment, right?
Mirrors: Ha-ha-ha! Even though I am only a recording, somebody always makes the enjoyment joke. Now to pick you a randomly selected character. And you shall henceforth be known as: Blue Bunny Dang! (A giant blue bunny head is put over Yang)
Yang: Blue Bunny Dang? Are you people ripping off of my schtick?
Mirrors: No talking back to the recording! Your job is to be an emissary to the citizens visiting Magnatopialand! Now, scram!

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (6)

    • Mirrors: Banana Fana Fo Fana does not speak, you are fired! /
This line is taken directly from The Name Game, which is a children's rhyming game/song.

    • Yang: And I would've gotten away with those shoes if it wasn't for that meddling squid kid! / This quote is a parody of a quote often said on Hanna-Barbera's popular cartoon series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?! and its many spin-offs. The original quote said by many various defeated villains was: "And I would've got away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids!"

    • Disco Duck: Yin makes a reference to Rick Dees biggest hit single when she says "Disco Yuck."

    • Dumbledore: The name of the headmaster of Camp Magic Pants, Lord Rumbleshorts, is a parody of the headmaster of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter book and movie series.

    • Yang to Terry Otter: By the way, you croak in the last book! Spoiler alert! / This is a reference to the rumor that Harry Potter would die in the seventh and final Harry Potter book, even though he actually didn't.

    • In Camp Magic Pants, the Camp is a parody of Hogwarts, the wizarding school in the famous Harry Potter book series, with the character Terry Otter being an obvious spoof of the title character.
