  • Carl and Yang get stuck together, Literally! And Yin faces her worst nightmare: Zombie friends who hunger for brains!

Honestly, I can't believe how many reviews for the show of "Yin Yang Yo" I've written! It's like I've got nothing better to do then sit around, contributing information for this show, and sharing my thoughts about it. If I could trust anybody else with it, I would. But since that's not the case, here's my review. This episode shows what would happen if Carl and Yang got stuck together, Literally! By Mastermind no less! They got into this predicament by fighting over a hammer, and now they won't be able to get apart until they learn how to cooperate! Too bad they're really focused on trying to kill each other first! It was funny to see Herman get along with Yang, while Yin and Master Yo managed to get along with Carl just fine. Who knew that Carl was such a fine cook? But one thing finally Does manage to get Carl and Yang to cooperate with each other: their mutual hatred for Mastermind! And by finally uniting together, they manage to kick Mastermind's non-existant butt and finally get magically separated again! Of course, that doesn't stop Yang from claiming the hammer for himself! And what happens when Master Yo goes off as disguised hero Possum Panda, leaving Yin to have a slumber party with Lena and not even inviting Yang? It ends with Yin becoming an obsessive-compulsive control freak and Yang not getting invited to the slumber party! Feeling jaded, Yang decides that Yin needs to get a little attitude adjustment, and so he uses the Woo Foo Book of Forbidden Evil to unleash three evil spirits into Lena and her close friends Katie and Paige! Now Yin's friends have turned into brain hungry zombies! And Yang will only help Yin once she admits that she should've listened to her friends and given them what They wanted, and not focusing on what She wanted! Yin does, and Yang finally helps Yin get rid of the evil spirits. This is a fine episode, that would've been perfect except for the falling body parts. Enough said, true believers! ;)moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • It's revealed in this episode that Yang now has in his collection, the Woo Foo Book Of Forbidden Evil, in addition to the artifacts he is securing to prevent The Dark Tommorow.

    • This marks the first time that one of Eradicus' minions (Mel-licular) has appeared separate from all the others and the first time that Eradicus has appeared in color (albeit in book form.)

    • Running gags in this episode:
      1. Yang and Carl keep saying "Mine!" 2. When Carl and Yang are stuck together, they keep trying to kill each other. 3. Yin keeps trying to convince her friends that they're having fun even though they're not. 4. When Lena, Katie, and Paige are hungry zombies, they keep wanting to eat brains and keep losing various parts of their body.

    • It's learned in Slumber Party of Doom that the two girls who sometimes hang out with Yin and Lena, the elephant girl and the bear girl with braces, are named Katie and Page respectively. It's also learned that Lena likes zombie monster movies and that Master Yo sometimes moonlights as a disguised hero named Possum Panda (but only to shirk his parental guardian duties).

    • Mastermind has a different voice in this episode then the last time he had an appearance. Mostly due to the fact that he's being voiced by a different person in this episode.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Yang: (about Mastermind) Hey, I know this guy. I kicked his butt once!
Carl: Is that why he, uh, doesn't have a butt?
Yang: No, he sorta came butt-less.

    • Master Yo: Just let Yin have her slumber party in peace. You've got plenty of stuff to do in here.
Yang: So what? I'm just supposed to sit in here and be happy with my video games, comic books, action figures, DVD's, MP3s, drawer snacks, with the assorted fruits and/or vegetables I put in there so you won't be harsh on me for eating too many sweets, (happy now?) my own telephone line, unlimited access to the internet, plus several credit cards, that nobody knows I have?!

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Scooby Doo, Where Are You?:
When Yin and Yang are being chased by Yin's zombie friends, they parody the chase antics of the main characters of the famous Hanna-Barbera series. This is commented on by the two characters paroding Shaggy and Scooby-Doo.

    • Shaggy and Scooby-Doo:
Two of the characters in Slumber Party of Doom, the blond guy and the blue dog, are a parody of the popular characters from Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, and it's various spin-off/sequel series.
