      • Nickelodeon started showing You Can't Do that on Television as a regular series starting with this episode on 1/2/82.

      • In certain scenes, everyone's hair is considerably longer. These takes were done well after taping was complete for the season. They needed to reshoot a number of scenes to introduce the opposite sketches or kids telling jokes. They didn't want reference to the location of the roving camera or any of the other live bits for the version that went to Nickelodeon.

      • Nick orignally aired this episode in 1981 as a test to see if kids would buy the show. They did, and the rest is history.

      • The 1981 episodes were actually local hour long episodes which were partially filmed live featuring video game contests, music videos, local events, and kids telling jokes. These episodes were later edited to 1/2 hour programs removing music videos and any references being a local show for distribution to Nickelodeon and other channels.

      • This was the first YCDTOTV to air on Nickelodeon.
