A Serpent's Tooth was a perfect and really entertaining episode of Young Hercules and I really enjoyed watching because Hercules, Iolaus and Jason discover a baby Basilisk whom Strife and Discord placed to cause mayhem. It was fun watching as the guys bonded in their own ways with the creature. It reminded me of ET or Mac and Me because the baby Basilisk looked sort of like a little alien. In the end every thing worked out. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!!!moreless

    • Jason (practicing being a ruler by judging law cases): Look, I don't know who's cow it is!
Ophistus: Prince Jason, when you become ruler you must appear to know everything.
Jason (pointing at one disputant): All right, you get the cow. (pointing to the other) I'll give you one from the royal herd. A royal cow. Everybody's happy, everybody has a cow, moo, moo, moo, see ya later!

    • Iolaus (when a crowd tries to attack Ruff): Okay now, he may look like a monster... and he is one, but he's just a baby, okay? He's harmless. (Ruff spits green goo) Disgusting, but harmless.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • The basilisk first appears in western literature in the Natural History of the Roman Pliny the Elder, who says that basilisks look like snakes with a white spot on their heads. Its venom is so deadly that anyone who comes near it dies immediately. But there is nothing in the legend of the animal that says that it causes things to catch fire, though later medieval legends say that it can turn those who see it to stone.
