SPD, may I asked why you locked the episode discussion thread for the new episode and are having all comments for the episode posted here? In case you didn't notice, the new episode aired yesterday!

I think he means that episode discussions should happen here. Which i agree on, rather have one thread with loads of posts about different episode than one thread a week with around ten posts or less.

Anyway, my opinion is as always, bad stuff but nothing Too bad. Also, props to 4KIDS, last season they failed when trying to make up a plot point that does serve a purpose with Rudger trying to make Yusei believe his dad was evil (Could've worked if it didn't last like half an episode or something) this time they say that Yusei has doubted his dueling ever since the Godwin duel, alas i would've liked a mentioning to actually explain that other than "it was too close" like "If Crimson Dragon hadn't given me that card then..." but still, making Yusei have worries before the fight with Wisel is pretty good so that his later worries through the season become more justified.

Don't quote me on this, I believe Jose's name might be Jacob in the dub according to someone on Janime

A New Threat (Part 1)

Season 2 has finally begun here is a quick list of things that happened *takes out list*: 2001: a The Space Odyssey rip-off, Borg rejects becoming in charge of a city, an attacking ghost, unbelievable job promotions, the heroes blowing stuff up, the police doing their jobs... and failing, bridges changing shape for a child's card game played on motorcycles, and a monster who is stuck between being a Transformer and Power Ranger Megazord. Add that in with some editting torturefun and here's hoping episode 2 doesn't bring anymore WTF moments. Now here's the comments (you know, I really need to begin being a positive... I'll wait for the Pokemon episode I need to review):

Can You Tell That There Evil:
00:13 - Yes, a falling perfectly rectangular object from space does not scream a new threat is here. And now random infinity sign flipping to its side.
00:30 - No way in 6 months did they build all this! They'd have to have workers working on it around the clock. Plus there was no problems with the Satellite like with gangs or other criminals?
Opening - Well that's a bit dissapointing, I mean I didn't really expect them to change the opening song but they could have atleast use entirely new scenes from the newer Japanese openers.
02:13 - Lazar I think you've been cracked for awhile. Yay, you guys needed a new Director as the last one sort of... I guess died is what you'll call it?
02:27 - Wouldn't a meteor hitting the city cause a loud explosion, maybe an earthquake, pretty much cause so much havoc that Lazar would have noticed?
02:35 - Can you anymore tell us this is a rip-off "2001: A Space Odyssey"? What the hel... who are these guys? They look like the Borg from Star Trek, they just need a little white make-up on their face.
03:33 - Well looks like the Borg just found their first group to assimilate... wait, THEY'RE the new Directors? Come on, we already had the evil Director storyline, we don't need to do it again times 3!
04:17 - And now a random attack. See, this is what happened when you put the Borg in charge... MINA AND TRUDGE ARE CHEIF AND VICE CHIEF OF SECTOR SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS? Okay, I would understand Trudge was chief, but Mina is... wasn't six months ago she was a secretary?
04:55 - YOU PUT THE BORG IN CHARGE! And if you don't wantto follow that joke, you put guys dressed like robotic sages that came from SPACE in charge and they had evil laughs, yet you're surprised this is happening?

A Hero's Job... Really Should Be The Police's Responsibility:
05:10 - Well I was going to make a joke, but then again anytime somebody says "what can go wrong" we usually get an explosion a few seconds later.
05:43 - Jack, you don't have to lie, we perfectly know you have selected hearing and the only thing you heard was "blah blah accelerator". Anyway I think you got people at the window.
06:00 - Landlord? What happened to the estate Jack was living in? When Goodwin vanished and Jack went off to build the bridge the sold it off?
06:22 - Well Zora sure changed her attitude when Yusei spoke up. Though then again she is somewhat right that Yusei did deliver the final blow to Goodwin...
06:42 - What's Mina and Trudge doing here? Mina is driving and Jack is here, Trudge is probably wondering why they are also here.
07:09 - Okay, so exactly why are they working on a new engine? It's not like during a duel how fast they are going counts, infact how many Speed Counters they have determines how fast they can go anyway.
07:33 - Hold it, I thought Yusei was the champ, when he was building the bridge did that title get revoked and they are having a new tournament to decide who the champs will be?
08:20 - The Ghost? Not that threatening of a title... wait, are you telling me when they were building the bridge they also built bridges for dueling! Oh come on! Speed World 2? Why do you need those cards, why not just implement whatever they say as rules for Turbo Duels!
09:04 - THEY'RE DRIVING 100 MILES PER HOUR ON WHAT LOOKS TO BE HALF OF A TUBE! I think you threw "Safety Measures" out of the window when you came up with that design! And Trudge calm down, infact besides from the compliment Mina hadn't really given much attention to Jack... OMG! SHE'S BEEN ASSIMILATED!
09:26 - Yusei, didn't you just here Crow? Wait, now Crow is saying it's a bad idea? THEN WHY DID HE MENTIONED IT! Mina and Trudge are obviously there to ask Yusei, Jack, and Crow to catch "The Ghost", what did Crow think they wanted from them?
09:41 - Now while I would normally admit Crow has a point about Sector Security should be doing its job, this does involved dueling and this is Mina and Trudge we're you're talkign to, aka the only person who doesn't duel and the Butt Monkey.
10:09 - Wow Trudge, that's pretty noble of you wanting to do your job and let the Signers live their life... too bad this is Yu-Gi-Oh! and you'll probably end up in a hospital in the middle of the 2nd part of this episode. Speaking of part 2 of this episode.

Shouldn't The Ghost Rider Be On Fire:
00:15 - He's forcing you into a Turbo Duel? Okay, how exactly does he do that? Did no one just try rejecting the duel? Did he force people to crash if they did? Also Trudge had to activate Speed World 2, does that mean "the Ghost" doesn't have a Speed World card? Then how is he activating these Turbo Duels?
00:24 - YOU BUILT LIFE POINT COUNTERS IN THE GUARD RAILS! Wait, these look like the normal roads, why do they have the Life Point Counters? Aren't the half tube bridges only for duels?
00:58 - Hey, they updated the ATT/DEF meter to also show the monster's Level, I guess tha'ts nice if not a little pointless.
01:31 - Um, thank you math equation that appeared on the bottom of the screen, but I think we can do the math by ourselves. I know 4Kids targeted audiance is kids, but I think they kids they are aiming for can atleast do addition!
02:24 - Oh, so now you can sacrifice Speed Counters to inflict Life Point Damage? Not whining or anything but why? 4 Speed Counters = 800 Direct Damage per Speed Spell in your hand. 4000/800 = 5, don't you think this could easily be manipulated, all you need would be a stall deck and you'd be almost unbeatable.
02:32 - First episode of the season and they already had confused the Attack Counter with the Life Point Counter, keeping up with your high quality stuff 4Kids.
02:56 - Trudge, when a card has a negative effect on its user, don't you know by now it probably provides a positive effect which the user probably built his deck around?
03:10 - I'm going to take a guess and say Machine Emperor Wisel has an effect which it absorbs the opponent's monster and gains its Attack Points. And look, the infinity sign, or lemniscate if you prefer, does this mean this Ghost is involved with the new Borg Directors *unsurprised gasp*!

What Is The Size Of This City's Budget:
03:38 - Okay, Crow knows that there is a mad duelist out on the bridge dueling people and causing them to crash yet he doesn't want to help catch said duelist... YET HE'S ON THE BRIDGE ANYWAY AT NIGHT! What does Crow think is preventing "the Ghost" from challenging him to a duel?
03:44 - Wait, now Trudge is on the half tubes? But before it showed they were on the bridge!? Gah! They need to put a little mini-map at one of the corner of the screens to show which part of the bridge everyone is on. Damn, Trudge got torn to shreds...
04:26 - Now how does Trudge know Synchros are useless? Just because Goyo Guardian was a Synchro doesn't mean it Wisel can do the same to normal monsters.
06:03 - Well maybe you should have waited until tomorrow night to go on a patrol, from what it sounds like "The Ghost" only strikes once per night and he already dueled Trudge.
06:14 - Now why does Yusei's Duel Runner have that detection system? Isn't that something only Sector Security will have? THE ROAD FORCES OTHER DRIVERS ON IT TO EXIT IT WHEN A TURBO DUEL STARTS! So during the day is the bridge un-usable except by duelists being that would probably be prime time for people to be dueling?
06:50 - The bridge is now transforming... 0_o
07:15 - OH RA! CARD ANALYZER IS BACK! Oh, and it proves to just be as useless as before as it tells us NOTHING about Wise Core that we didn't know already... it could at at least told us its effect, we saw it already but at least it's something not visible on the card!
07:26 - Why is everyone surprised to see a monster with 0 Attack points? Instead of them going "Ha, he has nothing!" they should be asking themselves something smart, like say, oh, DOES IT HAVE AN EFFECT!
09:04 - And this is why, folks, why when you're up against an opponent and they do a strange move you have to wonder what their next move is instead of charging in head first thinking "well, they sure messed up"! Especially if you're up against someone who is known to be harming people by dueling them!
09:14 - Don't know whether I should be playing a Transformers or Power Rangers theme, what does Wisel remind you of more?

Oh, BTW show, where was Akiza, Leo, and Luna?

To be fair, the math thing was from the original, but either way, I don't know why they'd put it in besides to help the viewers do math instead of letting them think for themselves. Aki, Rua, and Ruka I think are back in school, I believe.

this season looks like it will be the best dub season ever.

ghost was cool and his voice is awesome.

can't wait to see how they handle the wrgp and the team names(like team unicorn, catastrophe,etc)
