A really bad episode. What happened not much. If there ever is and you buy a yugioh gx season 1 dvd please skip this crappy episode. All what happened is Lame Syrus feels bad for himself because his big brother Zane thought he screwed up. I find it really strange that two kids are dueling in preschool. I mean they barley know there abcs yet they know how to work duel disks what on earth? Anyways Jaden wants his homo friend to be a better duelist so they won't be expelled. I wonder what card Zane gave the bully in the flashback anyways not much happened.moreless

I can't even explain how badly Syrus dueled today! I mean come on! He had both powerbond AND limiter removal in his hand! He could have brought his Steam Gyroid's attack to 8800, which means he could have won. He even destroyed Jaden's face down with mystical space typhoon !!! I mean come on. It is sad that Zane doesn't have confidence in Syrus, if my big brother treated me like that, I would just not listen to him! Man, Crowler just won't give up to get Jaden expelled, he was and idiot to hire the Paradox bros. who knows?moreless

    heres wat happens:

At night time, Alexis went to meet with Zane at the lighthouse. He wanted to be alone and talked about how his brother doesn't belong at the academy. The next morning, a convoy of troops in black showed up at the Slifer dorm. Professor Banner knew them as the Disciplinary Action Squad. They only come when a student has done something really bad.

The squad took Jaden and Syrus to Chancellor Sheppard and Dr. Crowler to suspend them both. The squad had gotten a mysterious letter telling them that both students were at the abandoned dorm. Crowler suggested they make a sport out of it and have Jaden and Syrus work together in a tag team duel. If they win, their free, lose and they'll be expelled. Crowler agreed to handle the opponents. Afterwards, Chumley met with Sheppard to admit he was at the dorm too. Alexis did the same and both wanted to be Jaden's tag partner, but the deal was already settled. Chumley went back to the dorm and told Syrus he tried to get him off the hook. Syrus was worried that with his dueling skills, both him and Jaden will get kicked out. Jaden wasn't worried one bit and told Syrus to head outside for a practice duel.

Chumley and Alexis watched from a above as Jaden and Syrus dueled on the beach.

Jaden: summoned Avian (1000 att.) in attack mode and then placed one card facedown.

Syrus: summoned Patroid (1200 att.) and used it to attack Avian, but Jaden blocked it with his facedown trap, Negate Attack. Syrus started to feel depressed because he screwed up, but Jaden told him that its no big deal and that Syrus just needs to learn to have confidence in himself. Jaden: summoned Sparkman (1600 att.) and then used him and Avian to attack Patroid and Syrus directly (2600 LP). He finished his turn with one card facedown.

Syrus: played Pot of Greed to draw to more cards. One of the cards was Power Bond, a magic card that doubles the attack points of a machine-fusion monster, but then takes the original attack points of that monster out of your life points. Syrus remembered a time in school, where he dueled a bully to get rid of him. Syrus was going to beat him using Power Bond when his older brother, Zane, stepped in to stop him. He told Syrus that he would have lost because of the bully's facedown card, Spellbinding Circle. Syrus needs to learn how to play the card and not just use it.

Since that moment, Syrus has had no confidence in himself when it comes to dueling. He played polymerization to fuse Steamroid and Gyroid to summon Steam-Gyroid (2200 att.). He used to take down Avian (Jaden's LP 2800).

Jaden: played polymerization to fuse Sparkman and Clayman to summon Thunder Giant (2400 att.) He used its special ability, destroying one monster with less original attack points, to destroy Steamgyroid. He then summoned Burstinatrix (1200 att.) and used her and Thunder Giant to attack Syrus directly. Jaden thanked Syrus for good duel but was surprised to learn that Syrus didn't play Power Bond. Syrus ran off saying his brother told him he wasn't good enough to play it. Alexis told Jaden that Syrus' brother was Zane, a third-year Obelisk blue who was really good as people say he is. Jaden decided to duel Zane so he can find out what happened between him and Syrus and hopefully give Syrus the confidence he needs for their tag team duel.moreless
