Recurring Role |
When Zane plays Limiter Removal on Cyber Ogre 2, its attack points are shown as 8200, not 9200, like it is supposed to be.
When sacrificing Cyber Barrier Dragon to activate Ruthless Denial, Zane says he sacrifices Cyber Laser Dragon, but his Laser Dragon was destroyed and the only monster on Zane's field was his Barrier Dragon. Plus when his monster was being sacrificed the monster shown was clearly Cyber Barrier Dragon.
Chancellor Sheppard runs a deck based on the card, Cyber Ogre.
If you look closely at Zane's trap card, Lost Pride, the person depicted in the image of the card somewhat resembles Zane. This represents Zane's rebirth and his lost sense of pride.
This is the first time we see Sheppard duel.
In this episode, Mr. Shroud, Zane's sponsor, has been fired.
According to Sheppard, Zane is the heir to the Cyber Legacy.
When Zane used Cyber Laser Dragon's effect he says he can destroy a monster with an attack equal to or less than his Cyber Laser Dragon's attack. If this were true, Zane couldn't have destroyed Sheppard's Cyber Ogre which had 4000 attack points at the time and if this was true, then in the episode where Zane dueled Camilla, Zane couldn't have destroyed her Vampire Genisis because her Vampire Genisis had 3000 attack points.
Shroud: Didn't I tell you, Zane? Stick with me, and you'll have it all.
Zane: That's true. But now that I have evrything that I want, we're done. So I won't be needing you anymore.
Shroud: What are you saying?
Zane: That this is your stop! (throwing him from the limo) You're fired, Shroud!
(when Zane and Sheppard start the duel)
Sheppard: Get your game on! You kids do still use that phrase, right?
(After Zane uses Cyber Ogre 2 to attack Cyber End Dragon)
Sheppard: What've you done? You and that dragon shared a special bond.
Zane: We still do, I can hear its spirit right now, screaming for mercy, and guess what? I don't really care.
Syrus: What's happened to you Zane? I mean sure, you were never Mr. Personality, but anything's better than this. Poor guy.
Zane: This is sounding like a lecture, and I told you I don't have the time! I'm here for one reason, and one reason only, to get what is coming to me!
Chancellor Shepard revealed he left Duel Academy to travel around the world, looking for duelists for his tournament.
Featured Duel: Sheppard Vs. Zane
In the original version, the Underworld Deck was called the Cyber Dragon Tail Deck and the deck containing Cyber End Dragon was called the Cyber Dragon Heads Deck.
Original Japanese Title: Hell Ryu vs. Master Shamshima!
Sheppard loses the duel to Zane.
This is the first time in the series that the Duel World Cup was mentioned.
We now know that Sheppard gave Zane the Cyber End Dragon.
A lot of Zane's past, including his connection to the Cyber Dragon, is revealed in this episode.
This is the first time Chancellor Sheppard is involved in a duel.
The tarp in the center and back of the temple Zane and Sheppard dueled in is a tanka, a tarp in Tibetan Buddhism.
