Zigfried Lloyd using a Valkyrie Deck could be a reference to the 15-hour opera Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung) written by Richard Wagner. In the third part of the opera (named "Siegfried") Siegfried, a mortal human, and a Valkyrie, Brünnhilde, fall in love with each other. Also, the most famous song of this opera is called "The Ride of the Valkyries", which is also the name of a card Zigfried Lloyd uses.
