OH NOES!!!!! She will be missed. She died in her sleep, but it didn't say what she died from though. And at 48 too.

Billy: Why do the good die young?!

Grim: Well, mostly because I get confused.

    "Team Rocket's Blaustein Off Again!"

I loved Maddie for her good range of voices...

I am going to do a voice reel/montage for Blaustein, as a tribute to her. I'm going to start with her very first appearance as Meowth from Pokémon (I think it was in episode 31), and continuing with some of her other roles, including...

    - Solomon Muto (Yugi's Grandpa) from Yu-Gi-Oh!
    - Dr. K from Cubix
    - Chef Kawasaki from Kirby: Right Back at Ya!
    - Dr. Kureha from One Piece
    - Overkill from G.I. Joe: Sigma 6
    - E-102 from Sonic X
    - Sartorious (sp?) from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
    - Helga from Dinousar King
    - Rex Goodwin from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

And I'll close it off with "Team Rocket's Blaustein off again!" from her final Pokémon episode.

I wonder who will be the replacements for Helga and Rex Goodwin... hope they're good, but I'm not sure they'll be able to replace her, even though 5D's hasn't even been on the air for a year yet...

    R.I.P.

You know, for some reason I thought this would be bigger news over at the abridged series web site, but not too many people commented on it. And one person didn't even know that she voiced Mr. Muto.

She is more famous for playing Meowth in Pokemon, so maybe you remember her from that too.

This morning 'Kirby right back at ya!' aired a nice farewell message to her after the show.

Apparently it could have to do with a stomach virus she received around Thanksgiving.

I'm surprised they didn't do it at the end of 5D's, since that Dinosaur King episode was a rerun and Helga barely had any screentime in it.

What did the messages say? Also, there is speculation that she doesn't even voice Goodwin in 5D's so that could be why. I just hope Pokemon USA puts a tribute somewhere even though Maddie hasn't been on the show in 2 years. An upcoming episode is a perfect choice.

All I've been able to find on youtube are fan-made ones. There weren't any on 4Kidstv either.

I dunno if this is the best time to say this, but I can help but think, 4kids can talk about death AFTER their shows but not ON their shows?

    You're so right!

The message basically said the episode was in memory of Maddie Blaustein, a friend and colleuge (Can't spell )

I'd be even more pissed if they chose to be consistent. They're right to pay tribute to Maddie. Besides, they probably didn't say death directly, and saying that she "went away" (comparing to when Megan Hollingshead actually moved away) would be a disservice to her memory. Exceptions had to be made within reason. Although it is too bad about their overall standards. Thinking of euphemisms for death can actually be fun if you don't entirely suck at it or overuse it.
