Episode Summary

EDIT
As the two duels continue, Weevil and Rex reveal how their famous status as Regional Champion and Regional Runner-up plummeted when they were knocked out of Duelist Kingdom at such an early stage. However, while Weevil seems to be turning the tides in his favor with the help of an old strategy, Joey also appears to be pulling ahead thanks to the help of an old friend. Yugi and Joey both try to figure out ways to stop these two but both Rex and Weevil have their minds set on winning! However, with such high stakes on the line victory could still go to any two of the four duelists.moreless

  • The duel continues.

Another great episode. The duel between Rex and Joey, and the Pharaoh and Weevil continues. Rex fuses his 2 dinosaurs to create Hornasaurus, who gets powered up by the Orichalchos. Plus, the new monster can attack Joey directly! Rex summons Giant Rex and his 3 monsters attack. He attacks directly, destroys Panther Warrior, and is about to attack Joey directly until he activated Scapegoat to save him. A turn later, Joey uses Starblaster to summon his Red Eyes Black Dragon and powers him up with Metalmorph. Rex, however, summons Tyrant Dragon. Weevil is a lot better now. He has a great strategy. He changed every monster on the Pharaohs side to an insect with DNA Surgery and used Insect Barrier to defend. The Pharaoh can't attack. Plus, when the Poison Butterfly hatches, he will lose 500 Life Points every turn! Weevil summons Insect Queen to destroy Gaia the Dragon Champion, but then the Pharaoh uses his Natural Selection trap to destroy his Queen. Nothing seems to be looking up for the Pharaoh, what will he do? Good episode.moreless

    • Tea: People like you never win!
Weevil: What's this, more comments from the peanut gallery? Tell me, what is a person like me?
      Pharaoh: You're a greedy, power-hungry worm!
Weevil: What's that make you? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the one who wanted power? So much that you sold out your best friend, just for a taste of it?
      Tea: Watch it, bug boy!
Weevil: I'm just telling you what I witnessed first-hand during your last duel, that's all! You were determined to win at all costs, weren't you? So you activated the Seal of Orichalcos, even though you knew you were endangering the life of someone close to you! Now that's that I call power-hungry, and greedy! Well this time, the Seal and all of its powers belong to me!
      Tea: You're not scaring anyone!
Pharaoh: If you think you can win this duel by playing your little head-games, then you're sorely mistaken, Weevil. I'm too smart for that!
Weevil: What you refer to as "head-games", I call opening you up to the truth! And whether you realize it or not, it's causing you to doubt yourself!
(Close up of the Pharaoh's hand, trembling)
Weevil: Not that I blame you, I'd be shaking in fear also. If I were the one about to lose his soul, that is!

    • Rex: (after Joey plays Scapegoat) I've always hated those hairballs.
Joey: And they've always hated you.
Tristan: I thought you were a goner! Next time, warn me when you're about to save yourself!

    • Tristan: (to Joey) That was your last monster!
Joey: Your cheerleadin' skills need work.
