  • To quote Mai... Puke...

    6.5
This episode is one of those warm, fuzzy, believe in your friends and yourself type episodes that makes me wanna puke. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad or anything, just... Dramatic... And Tea has about four or five vomit-inducing friendship speeches. I mean, I'm fond of my friends too, but I don't go around preaching about how strong our 'bond' is... She really kinda needs to cut it out... And she needs to cut Mai a break, seeing as how Mai is one of my favourite characters... But w/e, if I remember correctly, they all end up being really good friends...moreless

Okay Yugi doesn't have enough starchips to enter the castle. Joey offers him him but Yugi is too stunned to answer. Mai comes along and asks them why they haven't gon up yet. Yugi's friends tell her what happened. She tries talking to him but he doesn't answer. she offers him the starchips she owes him from before but he won't take them. Mai challenges him to a duel but he's too afraid to duel again so Tea accepts. okay so they both start duelling. Soon Mai puts down Harpies Feather Duster. Tea draws her next card, Shining Friendship and hopes that this card will be as strong as their friendship:

"Boy, I wish this card was as strong as our real friendship. Then it would be able to beat anything. It would have Joey's courage, Tristan's spirit, and Yugi's heart."

She plays it and Mai attacks but Tea uses a trap and Harpies attack points becomes 0. Mai mocks Tea and says that she is too scared to win. Tea tells her that she is scared but she won't give up because she knows her friends are with her and will help her out. Her speech finally gets to Yugi who becomes aware of what is going on around him. Tea increases her Shining friendship with silver bow and arrow and puts down Magician of faith but mai uses De-Spell on silver Bow and arrow. She then attacks Magician of Faith activating its effect which allows Tea to return a card from her graveyard. Tea returns Silver Bow and Arrow, equips it with Shining Friendship and also equips Elf's Light with it. She attacks destroying Mai's Harpies. Mai is about to flip over Harpies Feather Duster but changes her mind. Mai gives u saying that Tea destroyed her best monster and so theres no reason to duel. Tea gives the starchips to Yugi who accepts them. When everyone is heading for Pegasus's castle, Yugi asks Mai why she didn't use Harpies Feather duster but mai changes the subject. They all head up to Pegasus's Castle. Okay.......so this episode was kinda lame but it was the first episode we see of Yugioh in which 2 girls face each other. Anyway.......this episode was like kinda good...satisfactory...anywayz......I guess I'll give it a.......7.0....moreless
  • Mai and Tea duel. The only reason Tea is dueling is because she wants to win them for Yu-gi. Things look really bad for Tea as monster after monster gets defeated. But then she finally destroys Mai's strongest monster Harpie Lady and Mai quits. Tea wins!moreless

Oh that episode was awesome. The first where two females are dueling. But some of the cards were so overplayed but oh well. I love this episode. It was so nice how Tea won them for Yu-gi. Now he and Mai and Joey have enough star chips to get into the castle. But still Mai's strongest is Harpie Lady!? She is so weak! Only 1300 attack and 1400 defence! She really should reinforce her deck. I mean even Joey's strongest monster is stronger than Mai's. Tea could have defeated Harpie Lady so easily. None the matter, this episode was great!moreless
