  • Torment~

As far as Yusuke battles go, this one ceases to be entertaining. it's extremely drawn out, is constantly interrupted by that dratted bird and punctuated by Botan and Keiko kicking more tail than Yusuke himself.

The episode seems to be trying to build suspense, but it's really just dragging out a fight that's destined to be too long. There isn't enough going on and yet there's too much, I think is what the problem is. There isn't enough progress to match up with the length of the episode. The pacing is off and the character interactions are meaningless.moreless
  • Suzaku, leader of the saint beasts steps in.......

This episode is about Yusuke going to fight Suzaku and the rest of the crew fighting harvested humans......

The episode starts with the crew getting Yusuke to Suzaku while they fight creatures called harvested humans. Yusuke finally makes it to Suzaku only to see that he's watching Keiko run away from monsters on a giant screen. Just like that, the fight begins! Suzaku quikly uses his electric based attacks to gain the upper hand. Can Yusuke defend?

This episode, overall, wasnt too much of an action packed episode. It did build up hype though, since there is now more on the line in the battle between yusuke and Suzaku.moreless
  • This is well written. firts time i saw the peview i thought it would bo boring. Then i saw it and it was great. They should have mre shows like that.moreless

Yuske was unstoppble in that episode. He would stop at nothing to beat suzuke. In a game i played suzuke is a boss you have to fight. he is to easy though. i mean if you know what your doing. Iwant to see the last one though saw all the other ones. if any body Knows how to send it to me online please do. I mean the very last one iheard it was pretty intense and tight. they need to keep making episodes of it cause that to good to stop making. actually i wouldnt mind watch ing reruns of it some other shows i might but not this one. a freind of mine hasDish network wicth allows him to record shows. Now i end my review to go to some blogs. Oh by they way im on at twelve and in the morning.moreless
  • Well, our main hero finally gets to fight.

The last and most important battle of this investigation is about to commence. Suzaku, the leader, has decided to stir things up for Yusuke by ordering his infected human army to attack his biggest weakness; Keiko! Her death though has continued to be postponed thanks to Botan and her wits. Yusuke however needs to find a way to defeat Suzaku, who's proven to be a difficult opponent so far with his Storm of Torment, which still hurts even if it misses. Plus, Suzaku was able to deflect the Spirit Gun! Yusuke though counter-attacked by fooling Suzaku into his shoes, applying the rubber conducts electricity concept on him. But his shoes covered his spirit energy, which rendered Suzaku's Storm of Torment attack useless, giving Yusuke a free shot at his cheek. It's only a matter of time before Botan and Keiko eventually get caught, and what's instored for Yusuke?

Well, a whole lot of good things if the quality of the next episodes remain the same. Honestly, I haven't seen the rest of this arc, nor even took a glimpse of the rescue Yukina arc. So some of this is new to me, which is good. Again, like mentioned countless times before, the uniqueness in the attacks and battle styles in Yu Yu Hakushi is what I love most about it. Well, there really isn't anything unique about controlling Thunder (maybe in real life, but not in the anime world), but I'm just glad they didn't pull something off like Suzaku using the flute to battle for the sake of being cool and unique. It was pretty exciting seeing Yusuke's Spirit Gun getting deflected, because it built up that hopelessness within you that he might not be able to win this fight. I mean, after six months of extreme training, you'd think he'd be the most strongest human alive! Well, I guess it's different when you're matched up with demons.

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Kayko: Thanks for helping me out back there. You're that girl Yusuke was with on the roof, aren't you?
      Botan: Um, yes, but...
Kayko: If there's something going on between you and him, well I can't stop that, but please, tell me where he is!
Botan: Well, I can guarantee that Yusuke's all yours, but why don't we work out those details after we escape from the hundreds of infected humans who want to kill you.

    • (Botan and Kayko are being cornered by the zombie people)
Botan: Here we are, in a corner.
Kayko: I'm the person these sickos are following. Let me lead them to one side so you can get away.
Botan: I'm sure you'd make a wonderful distraction, but it's much more important that you survive. We'll have to find some way to fight them together. We're reasonably athletic girls with a couple of good sets of fists, aren't we?
Kayko: Yes, honestly I was hoping you wouldn't accept my offer.
      Botan: There must be something.
(Botan and Kayko see a fire extinguisher)
Botan: Kayko, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Kayko: We'll separate on the count of three, okay?
Botan and Kayko: One, two, three!

    • (After Iwamoto zombie falls down, Kayko looks stunned.)
Botan: (pumps fist) A stellar hit, Kayko! You should fight on the boxing team! (grins and flashes victory symbol)
Kayko: I just hit a teacher.
      Botan: Come on.
(As the girls run on the video, Yusuke rises.)
Yusuke: Sorry, Beast Boy, but your movie's a flop.
      (Suzaku growls.)
Yusuke: (holds out glowing fist at Suzaku) I'm assuming you won't mind too much if I make a few changes. (clenches fist; the glow crackles and disappears)

    • Hiei: Set your eyes on the first tower window. That is your door.
Yusuke: Well I'm sorry, Mister Mysterious, but as it turns out I forgot to bring my pogo stick.

    • Yusuke: Stupid monster humans trying to slow us down. I'm blowing them all away with my shotgun!
(Kurama puts a hand on Yusuke's shoulder)
      Yusuke: Uh?
      Kurama: Let's use our heads.
Yusuke: What, you want me to head butt them!?
Kurama: It's not wise to waste your spirit power. The more impatient we are, the more mistakes we'll make.
Yusuke: Well how is head butting gonna help?

    • Yusuke: Here's the deal, pull your zombies off Kayko and then I'll only pull out one of your lungs.
      Suzaku: And If I refuse?
Yusuke: Then hold your freakin' breath!

    • Murugu: (about Yusuke) Look at him writhe, Suzaku! I love it when they do that!

    • Murugu: (about Yusuke) Don't you see what he's doing, Suzaku? He thinks he can block the lightning with his rubber shoes. (to Yusuke) You're truly an idiot. You might as well block a cannonball with paper. (cackles)
Yusuke: Why don't you go lay an egg or something?
Suzaku: Yusuke Urameshi, you are my perfect justification. You are why demons should take the place of humans on Earth. You're an idiot race that deserves extinction!

    • Suzaku: You should feel most fortunate, Yusuke. Not everyone's girlfriend gets to star in a horror movie.

    • (Suzaku raises his hand)
Murugu: Oh so that's it. You're going to use that technique on a human? (in singsong) You're going to die! You're going to die! (giggles)

    • Murugu: It seems our boy wonder has few friends, but one great weakness. Her name is Kayko Yukimora, and she's very close to Yusuke's heart.
      Suzaku: She is pretty.

  • NOTES (4)

    • (Differences in the manga)
1: We don't get to see what's happening in Spirit World.
2: After Kurama and Hiei jumped off, Kuwabara was still standing, his face didn't smash into the floor.
3: After Yusuke enters the tower, we aren't shown the others fighting the plant people.
4: Keiko doesn't question Botan about her and Yusuke.
5: Iwamoto had tried to choke Botan.
