One of the more anticipated matches in the preliminary round is in group 39; where Shura and Yomi are faced against each other. Despite being blood related, the two promised each other not to hold back. Shura immediately shows his full fury on his father, unleashing a rain of energy blasts. But Yomi blocks them all. Shura however, refuses to give up, and fires a giant energy blast after tricking his father into giving up. Yomi survives this, and continues to beat his son down until he gave up. His ego even permitted for his death to be allowed, but Yomi wouldn't accept it. Shura surrenders. The real tournament begins as Yusuke battles a giant cat. He easily wins, showing off very little of his power.
Pretty good fight, wouldn't you say? While it's not nearly as funny as the previous two episodes, it's even more action packed. I never expected this fight to be drawn out into nearly the whole episode, since it's a fight between father and son. The only time father and son battles are anymore serious than the one displayed here is when the story board have the father as the antagonist, and the son as the protagonist. Well, it can be the other way around, but it's usually this.
