Okay, playtime's over. Time to get down to the nitty-gritty. Right?

    Wrong.

Toguro powers up, Yusuke powers up. The fight looks like it's going in Toguro's favor. But there's always further levels to achieve. Or unlock. You just have to have the right key.

This episode does give another great foreshadow hint when Yusuke releases the Spirit Cuffs and his energy takes the form of a phoenix. Talk about power animals. It's a huge build-up, though; I want my fight already!moreless
  • Toguro finally unleashes his full power...

    9.5
After a little of Toguro's bragging Yusuke reveals that he was still wearing Spirit Cuffs that Genkai had given him in the cave. She gave them to him before his test with the Spirit Wave. To move at all required Yusuke to combine his Spirit and Body and she told him to wear them at all times to make him stronger, and only take them off at the right moment. To do this Yusuke would have to stay at full spirit power and full physical strength 24/7. With the cuffs removed, Yusuke's energy soared out of him taking the form of a pheonix before being reabsorbed back into his body. With new incredible speed he barraged Toguro head to stomach and with a final uppercut knocked him down. Then Punched him into the earth and continued until he realized that in Toguro's eyes he wasn't worried. Yusuke backed off and Toguro told him the moment he'd been waiting for had come and went 100%. Toguro flicked things at Yusuke with his thumb while Yusuke barely managed to block them all. With a single punch he turned Yusuke arm blue and maybe immobile. Yusuke launched a punch but it was blocked with Toguro's thumb and he sent him flying into the seats...moreless
  • Toguro goes full power.

    9.2
The battle between Toguro and Yusuke rages on. Yusuke takes off his Spirit Cuffs which was restricting his power against 80% Toguro. Then he starts beating the crap outta Toguro. Toguro laughs at him because now he is finally ready to power up to 100%. His skin turns dark gray and his muscles are even bigger than before! And he has this new technique which acts like a Spirit Gun but it has no delays and he has an unlimited supply of them, can Yusuke win?

Nice episode. I didn't know that Yusuke was not at full power but it turns out those Spirit Cuffs were a handicap for him. Toguro powering up to 100% was also awesome and he looks nothing like human now. It seems unlikely for Yusuke to win.moreless
  • I wish I had muscles like Toguro's.

    8.4
After being disappointed with Yusuke's strength, Yusuke decides to take off his spirit cuffs. They were given to him by Genkai, which limited his power to increase it in the long run (quite similar to Rock Lee's ankle weights in Naruto). Yusuke then easily beats Toguro up. Toguro can barely fight back. But Yusuke backs off anyways as he doesn't detect any sign of fear from his eyes. Toguro then decides to power up to 100%. His muscles turned grey, and the shape defied any sense of logic. It looked as if he was wearing armour. Yusuke gets thrown around easily as Toguro uses the speed of his thumb to create an air bullet.

What a powerfest this was. I never expected two characters to power up in the same episode. In fact, there's been a lot of power fests lately with Kurama turning into Yoko, Heia mastering the Dragon. I guess Kuwabara is an exception, since he just got a new weapon. Maybe even Kurama. Anyways, there really isn't much material for me to say about this episode, except it was an above average powerfest.moreless
