Episode Summary

Zatch tries to make friends with the same kids from last time in the park, but was shunned and made fun of, being called a freak. One of them says she's going to the zoo with her friends, Zatch doesn't have any...except Kiyo and Suzie! Kiyo "offers" to take them to the botanical gardens, only to find an old friend, Ivy, and a new enemy with a Mamodo named Sugino and his partner Haru, who've been training for the Mamodo fight. While Suzie is away, the Mamodo and his master use their powers on the trees and the people, including Ivy! Kiyo comes up with a plan to save the people and stop them, but will it be enough?moreless

    I read this part of the series in the manga before I saw it in the anime. The manga was great and I would expect no less from the anime. Unfortunately the anime version of it is crap compared to the manga. Now I hope you don't missunderstand me, I'm not saying that the whole anime series is crap, I am just talking about this one episode. I am nice enough to give it an 8.5 but it really deserves more like a 7.5. This episode seems very rushed and does not have the unique art, storytelling, and action that can be seen in the manga. Of the first 7 episodes this one is one of my least favorite. If you have not read the manga then you would probably like this one. Go watch it if you haven't done so but I suggest that you read the manga to see what I mean.moreless

    In this episode, Zatch and Kiyo fight a plant mamodo (demon). They learn a lot of new things. They learn more about protecting people and Kiyo uses alot of stradegy in this episode. Also, Zatch and Kiyo learn there is a limit to their power. When they are trying to save all the people, they use Zaker too many times. By the time that all the people are saved, Zaker is used up. Kiyo runs out of heart energy. Oh no! What will they do now? Well, of course, Kiyo thinks up a genious smart plan and the day is saved!moreless

    Kiyo and Zatch really learned alot about strategy in this episode. they needed it to beat Sugino his plant spells were really strong! but I knew zatch would win out in the end! Zatch also makes friends with Ponygon the cute little horsey! Meru meru Mee! anyways very good episode.

    in this ep we saw the power of courage and friend ship and the power of resheild but this was a great ep. i liked it when Zatch and kyo worked together and saved the people you were in the way before they started to fight but when the 0couldn't use Zatchs power but then out of no were the used the secend spell and blew the away
