Show Summary

ZeD is a TV variety show from Canada that showcases creative works from famous Canadians, up-and coming artists and fans of the show. TV personalities Bif Naked, Nobu and Mio Adilman host the series, creating a free distribution and access TV program for artists who want to expose their craft to the world. The commercial-free show opens the season with musician Sam Roberts performing his hit single, "Brother Down." Bif Naked then presents and screens a short film by Steve Evangelatos called Cannibalism and Your Teen, a satire a 1950's American sitcom. In another segment, rock band Kris Demeanor and The Floor play "This Is How I Live" for the studio audience, which becomes a popular video clip on YouTube. By mid-season, TV personality Sharon Lewis replaces Bif Naked, Nobu and Adilman. The new host changes ZeD's format, focusing more on screening independent short films, including Cordell Barker's critically-acclaimed animation, Strange Invaders, and a civil rights comedy by George Gafe called Cowboys and Indians. Ziya Tong takes over for Lewis at the end of the season, and ZeD changes its format to concentrate more on the local music scene.
