In an attempt to help Hank, Laila leaves a trail of clues. Hank has another showdown with White Vincent. With help from the FBI, Aaron and Rachel discover the key to unlocking the next clock.

Still Makes No Sense & We May Never Know???

This show was a big reach from the very first, now at three installments ABC calls it quits. What sunk Zero Hour is a question that seems to have multiple answers. First, it seemed so far-fetched that Anthony Edwards seemed plainly out of place. Edwards playing Hank, the editor of Skeptic magazine, is cast as an everyman de-bunker of things paranormal. While Edwards has the aura of a Andy Taylor type earthy guy, his character is supposedly much more urbane and multi-faceted right down to his young beautiful bohemian wife as well as his professional position. I guess this was wholly meant to be for the juxtaposition, however I'm not sure it works on the most fundamental level. When there's time travel and Nazis involved I guess all is fair, but it is such a convoluted mess on so many different levels there simply wasn't a hard hook as most of us who did watch were only on-board to see if anything "gelled". It least not in three episodes, so the others won't be sorely missed outside of that small burning question as to how some of this could possibly come together for anything making sense of all the mystery. That said, if the other episodes do surface it may be nice to see.moreless

misrepresentation of a real historical figure is annoying

I'm generally annoyed by the "atheist who is converted" trope in TV & Films - but it's the writers' fictional character, so if they want to show Hank being converted over the course of the show, that's their business.

However, it seems wrong when they take a real life figure like Einstein who considered himself a "Freethinker" and did not believe in a god, nor in organized religion. You can't take one quote basically saying "the church did some good stuff to battle Nazis" (and there were plenty that collaborated!) and take that as supporting evidence that a non-believer Jew is secretly a 'new' apostle"? Give me a break. This is like those Mormons who post-humously convert people into their own religion.

Also, tiny nitpick - but why the heck didin't they just check the 1937 phone directory or the 1939 one? I'm betting that was still his phone number at those times. Even it if weren't the same, it was stupid of them not to think of it.moreless

Pendulum was a superb and perfectly entertaining episode of Zero Hour. I really enjoyed watching because there was a lot of awesome character and plot development. It was intriguing to get a little bit of a bigger picture, though it only delivers more questions than answers. It was cool to see Laila try to give Hank a trail to follow. This series is not what you expect, it is more! I love the mystety and suspense. The pacing is great and the story is captivating. I certainly look forward to watching what happens next!!!!!!!!!moreless
