True Lies (aka Dirty Pool)

This is the last episode taped, so it doesn't offer a 'real' conclusion; it does show Tom threatening Larry's life if his estranged wife does not live. Also, the Goldman's are warming up to Adam & Jewel's relationship.

Aired: 06/18/05

Fox is at it again. hide « show »

This show, let's face it, was not deserving of an Emmy in its first episode. It was an interesting innovation of a classic story, and with Jerry Bruckheimer in charge, it would have been a hit. Three episodes, though, is a ridiculously small window of opportunity for viewers to get hooked. Fox is famous for cancelling shows midseason and not giving them a real chance to become popular, but with this Fox showed just how impatient it is. It was great of SoapNet to show the remaining unaired episodeds... but I just found that out today. I had no idea that SoapNet was doing such a thing. I didn't really even know I had SoapNet. And now they aren't airing them anymore. So, I missed my chance to see the rest of this could-have-been-wonderful show. And so has the rest of the world. If Fox had given the show a better chance, maybe it would have become a hit. You never know.

SoapNet just finished showing the remaining episodes of Skin. What an amazing show. Fox should be disappointed that they cancelled this show. I guess i was happy that the last episode left a feeling of complete with the series, but also wanting more. hide « show »

I can't believe this great show was canceled. hide « show »

Recently, Skin has been shown on Saturday nights on Soapnet as part of their Dysfunctional Family Night at 10pm est. As I watch the previously unaired episodes, I can't help but think why Fox would cancel this spectacular show. This is a primetime soap at its finest. The twists and turns every week keep you on the edge of your seat and shock you. First we learn that the seeming innocent District Attourney is having an affair with his campaign manager. Then we learn that the Mayor has fathered a child with a porn star and is having the president of a major porn producing company cover it up. While all of this crazyness is going on with the adults of the show, their children are having their own drama. Adam, the son of the D.A. and Jules, the daughter of porn producer; have recently started dating and fallen in love. They have to keep their relationship under wraps because both of their fathers are swarn enemies. This is just the tip of the iceberg. As each week progresses, Skin takes the drama to a new level. This is one of the best dramas created in the past couple of years. I can't believe this fantastic show was canceled.
