Clark and Chloe figure out his secret, but he threatens to kill Chloe unless Clark throws the next game. Mikail came to Smallville via LuthorCorp, and Lex will do almost anything to learn his secret. When Clark and Chloe are discussing how to stop Mikhail, there is a partially-obscured poster on the wall behind Clark that reads in part "...favourite hot dogs". Although "favourite" is the correct spelling in most of the English-speaking world, in the United States the word is spelled "favorite". edit »

General Sam Lane gave his niece a signal jammer that's used on stealth fighters? Wouldn't that be considered a treasonous act since stealth fighters are still considered top secret by military standards? You can't just give away that type of technology without some form of repercussion. edit »

The Level 33.1 plotline was temporarily dropped after this episode by the producers because they felt that it didn't fit in with the show's targeted viewers, even though some scenes related to it were scripted and shot. It continued on in the Vengeance Chronicles - short episodes aired on the Internet and hosted by Chloe, and included on the season 5 DVD. Eventually it showed back up in Season 6. edit »

In the comics, Mr. Mxyzptlk is an imp from the fifth dimension that likes to play practical jokes on Superman using magic. If Superman was able to trick the imp into saying or spelling his name backwards, Mr. Mxyzptlk would be banished back to his dimension. edit »
Mxyzptlk is pronounced here as "micks-ill-pittle-ick", rather than the 'accepted' pronunciation of "micks-yez-pittle-ick", as it is pronounced in other series featuring the character (specifically Lois & Clark... and Superman: The Animated Series). edit »
