Oliver: This whole time I wanted to be like Clark Kent. I wanted to have the ability to bring justice to the world without having to get killed in the process. Then something occurred to me, I realized that Clark Kent would never take another man's life, I came within an inch of doing just that. I'm not even in your league. (edit)
Clark: Oliver, you're getting sloppy.
Oliver: I've got more important things to worry about, like staying alive! (edit)
Clark: I didn't come here to be insulted.
Oliver: I don't remember you being Invited. (edit)
Oliver: (to Clark) Apparently you were too busy using your powers to bale hay to realize that there's a crime wave in Metropolis... let me ask you a question: are you ever going to get off your ass and finally do something for a change? (edit)
Lois: We had no future. He's a world-renowned billionaire, and I'm a nail-biting Talon-doling tabloid reporter. (edit)

Trivia

add »
When Lois dials 911 the operator picks up and says "Hello?". The 911 hotline standard procedure is to answer "911, what is your emergency?" not "Hello." (edit)
In his first appearance it was shown Oliver can nail a single country on the Daily Planet globe from several blocks away with an arrow. But here he takes forever to put on his costume instead of just shooting the two carjackers from his balcony, like he's shot other bad guys before. Fortunately the carjackers wait until he shows up and don't injure their victims or anything. (edit)
Despite the fact that Lionel tried to have Chloe and her father killed, forcing them to go into witness protection, here Chloe is sitting next to Lionel and quite comfortably chatting and laughing with him. (edit)
Although Lois is injured in Metropolis, for some reason she is taken to Smallville (three hours away by car based on many previous episodes) for treatment at the hospital there. (edit)
At the hospital Lois is lying on her back. That would not be standard hospital procedure for someone who was cut numerous times in the back. (edit)

Clark: Who am I dealing with, Jekyll or Hyde?
This blurb references the novella, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, written in 1886 by Robert Louis Stevenson. In this novella, researcher, Dr. Jekyll, creates a serum that inadvertently unleashes the bestial side of the human personality by creating a second personality. Dr. Jeckyll's second personality goes by the name, "Mr. Hyde." The novella has since inspired dozens of book, movie, and TV adaptations and parodies. For example, a Marvel comics villain with similar powers bears the name, Mr. Hyde. And this same literary character (Mr. Hyde) has also appeared in Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, where he met his death in the second volume. (edit)
