Smallville tells the tale of a teenage Clark Kent in the days before he was Superman. It is the town where he came from where very strange things started happening with his arrival in a spaceship in the midst of a meteor storm of green rocks. Clark must deal with a variety of individuals given powers by the green rocks, keep his powers a secret, cope with his friendship with a young Lex Luthor, and balance the two girls in his life, Chloe and Lana. The show also shows us how Lex Luthor develops from a friend of Clark's and kinda-okay guy to (presumably) the villain who will plague Superman in his later years.less «

  im not sure how many people agreed with me but lana is really annoying i mean constantly dying, screwing up clark, geting into trouble. thanks to her Alicia Baker died. johnathan kents dead, clark got sued, clark released zod, clark nearly killed lex (multiple times), the whole witch deal trying to kill clark, and that stupid kryptonite neckleace and frankly just an all round bad lyer the only person who spent all that time around kryptonite and not to get a power (she just naturally screws up peoples life) not to metion she has a funnie face. not to metion she just wont die! tell what you think love, hate or just a different point of view please tell! less «

  Not bad, could have been better, should probably have been a two parter though. hide « show »

  This episode really wasn't that bad. I have to admit that the fight with doomsday was disappointing but come on, it so can't be over. Plus I can't wait to see when Lois ended up although I'm going to guess the future going from what was said earlier in the episode. Plus something else has to be up with Clark besides the normal woe is me. Also I can't wait to see what they get up to with Zod. Somebody is going to feel really stupid for believing that orb or she really is a complete moron. Wouldn't put it past Tess. Hope Clark and Oliver sort out their nonsense, I really like the Green Arrow character and I hope they don't get rid of him. As for Chloe, yeah she is a bit annoying but what can you do. Can't wait for the new season.

  One disapointing way to end a high expectations season hide « show »

  All this for that? certainly, this expression was used for reviewing this episode. I really wonder what they thought when writing this. It feels like they wanted to please too many people with a multilayered cake that did not even rise.
  
  Really, I am extremelly disapointed. I was not expecting an all out WAR with Doomsday but somekind of a chase, a situation where Clark is forced to fligh to save himself or someone he loves, a moment when it all comes together and HE finally realize that HE HAS to become that Hero. I was expecting a hint of that Superman "crest", something that would make us say "Man! We have all summer to wait to know what happened???" Instead of that WE DO want to see what happened but for me at least, it's more like "what the heck will they do to patch it all up?"
  
  I do think though that they played a sneaky trick on us by having Lois get to that ring and maybe play with time a little. The writers just waiting to see the fans reactions... and they're far from extatic. Jimmy DEAD? WTH? They just can't do that without a backup plan to turn that back... He is pivotal in the life of Superman! That kido that got the camera, it won't be him that will take is place, not a chance in a million. NO! I think they goofed and they will try to pick up the pieces for S9. Olsen will be back and maybe so will Doomsday, only the leave room for Zod later when finally, Superman will emerge.

  One of the greatest shows ever produced! hide « show »

  I think this show is one of the best produced for the the moment. Specially since the story concentrates more on the base storey line than before. But for one I wish they had much much less of chloe, I mean who is she? (compared to the original story) and why on earth is she hogging so much of screen time? I think the writers should simply kill her off. Also I think it's high time CK takes flight. Yep I guess the whole Clark is still finding himself thing was fun for awhile but now it's kinda draggy. Also something cool to see would be this show morphing in to and actual Superman show (please not like Louis & Clark) But all in all the writers and directors and ofcourse the cast have done an amazing job with this. can't wait for next season.

  this show (or season for that matter) needed two things alot more fighting and alot less C-H-L-O-E! hide « show »

  since the beginning of smalllville there has been a problem with the show, a token charter that has long out grown its need on the show and has only managed to slow down the shows action both physical and sexual with overly witty sidekick monologue. i think u know who i mean but let me spell it out for u C-H-L-O-E. nothing is more pathetic than a 9 year old unrequited love or more ridiculous than chloe being the only woman doomsday ever was attracted to (shes cute but not stop doomsday cute), lol although many attempts have been made to kill or erase the memory of this proverbial pebble in the shows shoe this B%#!* wont go away, not to mention i like she is powerless so maybe (u) someone with power can persuade someone cause i dont want to see her in season 9 God knows i dont. im sure shes a good person with a few fans but all in all she is a huge distraction from the entire cast and i loves me some lois if u know what i mean who else could pull off stiletto? id rather see lois and clark than chloe and clark. anyway send me a message with so comforting news, blackryptonight (me) thanks u... p.s. i love alison mack

  I would have to say that Smallville is by far the best show on this planet. I normally loose interest in how long it takes for the break, for it too come back on TV, but not Smallville. It's like a high for me. So amazing. hide « show »

  Only one thing, is don't let things drag on, like the hole Louis liking Clark Etc. Louis Lane marries Clark in the actually Superman, so isn't it about time she found out about his powers? and they got together? I think so.
  I am literally mad about Smallville, the cast are amazing actors and actresses, I love them all. I'd love to meet or even do one episode, I am totally mad about Smallville. But I live all the way in the UK, so it's not possible, plus I'm not really and actor, so I doubt I'd get picked, but it's just how awesome the show is. Aslong as you keep making the show, I'll keep watching, doesn't matter how long it ran for, and I'm 21 now, and watched since season 1.
  
  I also think that keeping the main cast works well, as you see most shows change their cast on a new season, and it doesn't do that well. As for sequals in a movie. Thank you for reading this review!
