Lois: You know, a year from now, this is all gonna seem like a lifetime ago.
Chloe: That's funny because it feels like just yesterday when he deserted that nervous freshman on the dance floor.
Lois: You're headed for Metropolis. You are destined to be a big shot reporter at the Daily Planet. Do you really picture Clark Kent being able to keep up with you?
Chloe: You know, Lois, I think Clark might have a lot more to offer than you realize.
Lois: I wouldn't bet on it. (edit) Lois: Your parents filled me in. Apparently some girl named Dawn was possessing me.
Clark: Yeah, well, that's the short version.
Lois: Yeah, well, that's the last time I let her do my hair. (edit) Dawn/Lois: Well? How do I look?
Clark: Looks like you're going to the prom.
Dawn/Lois: I am. And you're taking me! I'm not going to let you sit around moping all night while your parents go out and do the electric boogaloo all night. It's gonna be fun.
Clark: No, I'm not going.
Dawn/Lois: Massive re-strategy. You're going to your senior prom whether you like it or not. End of discussion. (edit) Clark: I know, it's a little backwards. My parents are going to the prom and I'm staying home to wait up for them.
Jonathan: Son, when you're older, we don't want you to have to look back on high school and regret not going to the prom.
Clark: Dad, I'm not sure that standing by the punch bowl and watching bad dancing is a memory I'm gonna cherish. (edit) Lois: I just went to see the allergist. This says I owe two hundred dollars.
Receptionist: Actually, it's $215 including lab fees.
Lois: But all they did was stick a bunch of needles in my back and make me really itchy. What's that all about?
Receptionist: They need to find out what you're allergic to.
Lois: I know what I'm allergic to. He's got four legs and drools. What I need is a prescription. Please. A dog's life depends on it. (edit) Lois: I swear the dog knows I'm allergic. He follows me around wherever I go, torturing me. (edit) Sheriff Adams: Mr. Teague, the next time you say there's been a killing, I'd better see a stiff. (edit) Dawn: (in Clark's body) Crown's mine, bitch! (edit) Clark: May I have this dance?
Lana: I thought you'd never ask.... (edit) Clark: You know, I was thinking since you did get all dressed up and you came here with me... you should at least get a dance out of it.
Lois: Chivalry noted, but I'm not the one you want to dance with, Clark. (Lana) is. (edit) Dawn: (in Martha's body) Holy crap! I'm Clark Kent's mom. (edit) Lois: Did you pin that (corsage) on me?
Clark: I'll explain later, Lois.
Lois: A little close to the boob, isn't it? (edit) Sheriff Adams: I even did one of those Google searches. It asked me if I meant "Bing" Crosby. (edit) Lex: Burying bodies in the backyard isn't exactly a hobby of mine, Jason. (edit) Chloe: Well, we are in Smallville. And what would the senior prom be without a body-snatching prom queen? (edit) Lois: Mrs. Kent, a lot of things are possible, but there will be a man on Mars before me and Clark go to the prom. (edit)

Every time someone has touched one of the other two artifacts a beacon has been emitted that Clark hears and immediately goes to the object. Yet when Jason picks up the artifact no warning is made, just like when Lionel previously had this one. (edit) Trivia: Clark's full Senior Quote says: Wow! Done with another year. But it was definitely another good one. Can't wait to hang around at Crater lake with PR, CS, and the two LL's.

(edit) After Clark saves Billy from being electrocuted, he runs outside to find out what "Lana" did, after Dawn leaves Lana's body, Clark is still talking to her about what happened...shouldn't they go check to see if Billy is okay? He just endured a huge electric shock and is left lying on the floor (edit) After Dawn-as-Chloé takes the fireaxe to the valve on the pipe, two things are amiss. First, the wheel pops off too cleanly, showing an open pipe, rather than a system to block the fluid from flowing, which is the traditional function for valves. Secondly, there is a noticible gap between when the 'valve' is removed from the pipe and when the oil starts to spill out. Anything that is travelling through a pipe is being forced from one point to another, and would immediately take the path of least resistance, in this case the new opening. (edit) Guardrails are intended to stop cars from driving off cliffs. When Dawn drives her car through the guardrail and its support post, you can see styrofoam crumbling onto the front bumper. Then as the car continues off the cliff, there is absolutely no damage to the front from that impact. (edit) Chloe smashes a glass pane to get to the ax and the glass shatters. Her bare hands are unharmed despite her not protecting them in any way. (edit) Much remains unrevealed about the Jason/Crosby connection, and it seems unlikely it's going to be explained. How did Jason get the artifact? If he got it from Crosby, why'd she bring it with her to a meeting with Jason? Why did Jason approach Lex in the woods about the body and confront him? Why did he involve Sheriff Adams just to lead her to a fake location where he knows Lex's guys would have moved the body? Why did he need to check Lex's e-mail to figure out Lex was meeting with Crosby (when Crosby probably would have told Jason herself, since Jason was working for Lex)? (edit) Once again, someone who shouldn't be there just strolls into Lex's office, boots up his computer, and starts checking his e-mail. Last time it was Lionel, now it's Jason. Shouldn't Lex, who values his privacy and pays for lots of security guards, like...have the guards do something and get some better computer protection? (edit) Where are Dawn's parent(s) in all this? They're not at the hospital - are they as shallow and lame as their daughter? (edit) If you type "Bridgette Crosby" into Google, it does not ask you if you mean "Bing Crosby." Even when you exclude Smallville reference, there are at least 30 references to other Bridgette Crosbys that come up. Unless the author of "Prairie Poetry" doesn't exist in the Smallville universe either. (edit) After seeing any number of people suffering from induced personality changes or body-swapping ("Hug," "Nicodemus," "Heat," "Red," "Rush," "Magnetic," "Shattered," "Delete," "Devoted," "Transference," "Spell," "Sacred," "Onyx"), Clark still doesn't seem to be at all suspicious when "Martha" acts very out of character (and in fact very similar to how people were acting in "Nicodemus"). He doesn't catch on when Lana gets taken over and acts un-Lanaish too. After 13+ episodes, shouldn't have a clue by now...? (edit) Why does Lex say that the "gardener" found Crosby's body in the woods. Most gardeners are found in...gardens. "Groundskeeper" would be the correct term. (edit) Despite the fact that Lana a day previously says she has absolutely no intention of going to the prom and has made no preparations, she shows up at the prom in a very nice prom dress, perfect hair, great make-up. Everyone's surprised to see her there, including good friend Chloe, so...who helped her get all made-up? And how'd she put it all together in the short time period? Ever try to rent or buy a prom dress and make a hair appointment the day before prom? (edit) Why is Jason at the dance? How did he know Lana would be there? Why would they let him in since he was fired from the school because he was having an improper relationship with a student? (edit) Jonathan falls down a flight of stairs. Hard. And yet Clark rushes up a minute later and he's conscious, unbruised, and coherent after injuries that would probably result in a concussion. (edit) Dawn in Clark's body should have almost certainly done some amount of injury to Chloe using Clark's super-strength to slam her across the room and into a metal surface. She should at least have been knocked unconscious, rather then awake in time to see Clark and the green-k. (edit) Billy saw "Lana" try to kill him. Isn't he going to press charges for attempted murder? Or is "I was possessed by another person" now a provable and believable "get out of jail free" card in Smallville (see also "Onyx" and Lex). (edit) Once again, the kryptonite that Jonathan has in his pocket doesn't affect Clark's body until he takes it out of the pocket and "Clark" sees it. Unless Jonathan has lead-lined tuxedo pockets, that doesn't make any sense. (edit) Where did Jonathan get the kryptonite? He was at the dance as a chaperone, and only a minute or two (at most passes) between when "Chloe" knocks him out, Clark goes down to the furnace room, and Jonathan arrives. The Kents have kryptonite at home for emergencies, but why would they bring it to the prom? (edit) When Dawn/Lana breaks the cleaning machine's cord (another goof in itself - those things are tough to break, even if you're a grown man), sparks fly. However, the cord is neatly coiled up on the machine and it's not plugged in - there shouldn't be any sparks. (edit) Jonathan shows no sign of the knee injury he received in the episode just prior. He even smoothly walks up a flight of stairs. Even if this episode takes place as much as a month afterward, bullet wounds to the leg and/or kneecap leave long-term and often permanent damage and visible impediment. (edit) Dawn-in-Chloe opens the furnace door with her bare hands.
With a fire that hot going, the door handle would be scalding hot but she's uninjured. Also, she just...opens the door. Normally it would be latched or locked. (edit) Dawn was not wearing any visible seatbelts, so given how far her SUV dropped and rolled down the hillside, she should have either been thrown clear through the front window, or moved pretty substantially in position then was seen at the end. (edit) When Dawn wanders around the woods after her car crash, she quite clearly touches trees, but when Martha's car hits her, she just passes on through it. (edit) When "Chloe" breaks off the transfer valve of the pipe, oil spills out fast and heavy, but not a drop splatters on her dress even though she is less than one meter away. (edit) Clark had apparently settled on his dog's name as "Shelby" at the end of "Krypto." This was born out on-screen and in the credits in "Lucy." But here the credits identify him as "Einstein" again (neither name is used on-screen). Can't Clark pick a name and stick with it? (edit) Jesse Hutch previously played a character named Troy Turner in the episodes "Shimmer" and "Redux." He died at the beginning of "Redux." However here he is quite clearly identified by the name of Billy Durden even though it's to all intents and purposes the same character. Yes, they recycle actors, but was Hutch really so talented they couldn't find another generic young vaguely-high schoolish looking brunette to fill the part? (edit) Thick black oil isn't usually found in school heating pipes...especially ones that use a coal-burning furnace. (edit) In the opening scene after the first commercial break, the prom committee is painting words on the "Look to the Stars" sign...that is already hanging up. You paint signs when they're horizontal (to keep the paint from running), let them dry, and then hang them up. (edit) After Clark takes the mop-torch away from "Chloe," he sets it on the ground. Even though oil gushed out in a huge stream less then a minute earlier when Chloe hit the pipe. For the rest of the scene the oil pretty much disappears. (edit) Lois said she never got to her senior prom, but in "Gone" she talked about her father's "prom escort." Would General Lane really waste an escort on a junior-year prom? (edit) Despite Clark's description, Dawn's body isn't really "severely disfigured" that we can see. She has a few facial cuts, but if Lana had similar injuries in "Facade" and she was back to perfect looks by the next episode. (edit) After Jonathan drives Dawn out of Clark, he rushes over and turns off the spurting oil by turning the valve counter-clockwise until it stops. On any American valve, that would open it fully, not close it. (edit)

Dawn Stiles
Coincidentally or not, Dawn Stiles is highly reminiscent of a character named Dawn Mills in the Smallville novel "See No Evil" where this Dawn has two best friends and a boyfriend who are backbiting and annoyed which she discovers whilst using her Kryptonite induced power of invisibility. The differences between this Dawn in the book and in the episode is that Dawn Mills is three grades ahead of Clark and is head of the drama club. (edit) Sheriff Adams: I even did one of those Google searches. It asked me if I meant "Bing" Crosby.
Google just happens to be a highly popular and highly used search engine on the internet. Sometimes when a search is run, Google will ask if you really meant to search for something different. That usually occurs during a misspell. (edit) Lois: Okay, Smallville, I clicked my heels three times and nothing happened. Better explain what's going on.
