Maxine: We got our grub on at this table.
Bird: Sure did. Every Sunday night. It was a waste of time to even act like you didn't wanna come to dinner.
Teri: Mama, do I still have to come to Sunday dinner?
Bird and Maxine: Are you still a part of the Joseph family? (edit) Bird: You can go back into that closet where you hide your freaky booty movies and get busy. (edit) Maxine: Well, you are the smartest girl in the world, Teri.
Bird: I thought I was the smartest girl in the world.
Teri: Well, you just had a baby by a man with no job, so you're definitely not the smartest girl in the world. (edit) Maxine: Oh, girl, please. Now you spend every waking hour at the law firm. Unless dick is a deposition, it ain't gonna find you. (edit) Teri: Well, I should go because I don't want you to think that this is some kind of booty call. (edit)

In the movie Kenny's last name was Simmons, in the series it's Chadway.
(edit)
This is a major GOOF. Throughout the entire series they have said that Bird's real name is Tracey, but in the Soul Food movie, Ahmad says in the opening scence that Bird's name was Robin.

The More Things ChangePerfect "Exactly why I watch this series" The beginning of this eries, sets the bar high for African American television series. I enjoyed the pilot episode from beginning to end. The actors/actresses which are apart of the cast are definitely great depictions of those from the original movie "So Continue » Posted Apr 1, 2006 4:22 pm PST |
